For when you just need to extend your network. This little guy is perfect. No layer 3 stuff to worry about. Just plug and play and you are won and done. I am using it to feed my home office. Spectacular bang for the buck. Had it for MONTHS now and have had no issues at all.

I run a 100 ft 10 gb cat6 cable to my office and It works great. Great speeds between both the gaming PCs and extra Ethernet connections for our laptops/ steam decks.
It survived being trampled off my desk by my cats several times.

Great network switch to improve home network

This network switch is great and delivers the advertised speeds. Setup took 2 minutes and now I have more Ethernet connections for my network. I am using this network switch to send my Internet across my in home Moca network. I have to use the Coax in my walls to create a 1 gig Ethernet network in my house.
Network switches are awesome and I am slowly adding them to my network so that more of my devices in home have wired connections. My Wifi is also fantastic because each wireless mesh unit has wired connection now. If you have Google Wifi original version hardwiring each unit is the way to go. You can get fast Ethernet and Wifi around your entire house with no slow spots that could cause video buffering etc. Bottom line this network switch is awesome!

Small footprint. Works well. Perfect solution to allow multiple devices to be hard wired to eos network because it only has a single ethernet port.
I needed to hardwire both satellites to the main unit to maximize speed (my house is wired with Cat6 throughout) and also connect a printer that wasn't happy being connected with wifi.

I bought this to replace a Netgear Gigabit Switch that was failing after two years, and found this to run cooler and was more reliable in reporting the speeds via the lights.
The only knock I could give it is the picture above doesn't reflect the actual unit. The access lights are on the back above the Ethernet ports rather than on the back side.

These work flawlessly. I am fortunate to have the house built with fiber optics so the entire house has a central hub and from there it provides Ethernet ports in each room of my house. 1 Ethernet port will just connect to one device but if you have more things such as PS4 smart tv, receiver, Apple TV etc then this is where the Linksys Ethernet switch comes in place and allow me to have a wired connection to all my devices in my home theater room and not have to worry about signal drops. Excellent product I strongly recommend.

Weak Wifi Game Changer

I needed to run an ethernet cable to my 70" family room TV so I could stream movies as our wifi signal is weak there. I only had two ports on my router which were both in use for our two computers. I was able to run one of those cables to the ethernet switch and that gave me 5 new ports without any noticeable degradation in signal to my TV. I am going to use the additional ports to add ethernet cables to my blu-ray player and my stereo amplifier to enable manufacturer updates for those devices.

I thought I might’ve needed to install some kind of software or do very specific steps to avoid issues but it was basically plug and play as it says. I’ve had no issues with the connection. I have my desktop connected as well as a signal booster from T-Mobile and both have had 0 connection issues. I’ve has this little thing for about 8 months and it works perfectly fine for me.

I am not a big tech guy so I love this product. It was easy to set up and got the job done.
Why I purchased: I needed to connect my computer to an ethernet cord for work/presentations.
installation: putting this together is a breeze. it comes ready to use out of the box. plug it in, plug in your internet cords and boom! you are ready to rock and roll.
Highlights: Easy to use, sturdy, and the lights tell you when the connection is good.
Opportunities: maybe it could come with a short cord to connect the internet, that was the challenging part because i had a 25 ft cord and 50 ft cord. it would be nice to have like a 12inch or 18 inch cord to connect the product to the modem.

To simplify setting up a remote classroom in my home, I wanted to connect directly to my modem because it's in the space I'm using. The router is upstairs, so plugging in would be hard. So I tried this switch. It does NOT work when attached directly to the modem. I got no signal to my laptop. I researched this extensively before buying it, and could not find an answer to this question. As soon as I opened the box, the directions said explicitly to run it from the router ONLY. It should absolutely be explained in the product description. The price was very good, but I doubt I'll need it, so will return it.
