The adapter to the mouse is very small which is what I like as it wouldn't be sticking out of my laptop as I carry it around. And there is no need to remove it, I keep the adapter to my laptop at all times, so I wouldn't lose it. The mouse is very responsive and easy to use.

Plug and play it was ready to use in minutes. Small and compact so easy to bring along anywhere. For me it's great because I hate using the pad.

5 Computers, 5 Mice, 3 are M185s

My first one lasted for 7 years, the only time I've gotten more than 3 years from a mouse. The other models I've tried eventually get replaced with the M185. This is a good size - not too wide or too tall, and more comfortable than the compact travel mice. I use it mostly left-handed, so the symmetrical design makes it very comfortable. The battery life is surprisingly good. I have three of these right now (I have five computers I regularly use - don't ask).
