Possibly the best mouse I've ever used

I specifically needed a bluetooth mouse and this Logitech is one of the lower priced models they offer. I didn't know it would be so good. In particular it glides extremely smoothly across a desk and is the normal high quality that you expect from Logitech. The buttons feel good to click with just the right amount of force and "click". The scroll wheel is AMAZING. There are two modes for the wheel, controlled by the little button just south of it on the mouse. When the button is "in", the scroll wheel ratchets: click, click, click, click, click, as you turn it. This is good for precision scrolling. When the button is in the out position, the wheel spins free. ...and it's weighted. So just flick the wheel and it spins and spins. Which is awesome for scrolling all the way to the top of a page, or all the way to the bottom of a page. Just a little finger flick and it scrolls super fast. The shape and feel of the mouse are nearly perfect for me. Bluetooth makes it really easy to connect for laptops and some desktops. The included RF receiver makes it work with essentially any computer wirelessly. I've been using computers and working with them as a job for more than 30 years now. Generally speaking, I don't install any software that's included with things like this. That software is normally a waste of space, a waste of time, and makes things worse overall. I'm sure some of you know what I mean by this. But in this case, the LogiOptions software is actually VERY useful. This is extra surprising because I use a Mac and the Mac versions of these types of software are usually EXTRA BAD. Not in this case. LogiOptions is very useful and has changed the wan I navigate. I highly recommend both this mouse and the LogiOptions software.

Very easy to use. I love the option to switch from fast to slow scrolling. I love the customizable buttons. I tested a bunch of mice in store and this one fit my hand perfectly. Oh, and I love that I can turn it off to save batteries! My last mouse didn't have that option and went through batteries like crazy.

This is absolutely the best mouse I've ever owned. I've been involved with PC's and technology for over 35 years, and have owned countless mice, trackballs and trackpads over that period. My go-to pointing device has been the Logitech Marble trackball, and it still drives my desktop system. But I also spend a lot of time on the road as a field service engineer using primarily an HP ZBook 15 workstation, and was never quite satisfied with the current crop of BT-enabled mice. I sort of settled on the HP x400B BT, but the scroll wheel was never that good and I had other minor quibbles with it. When I spotted the Logitech M720 I decided to give it a try. WOW!! What a difference. Granted, it has a large profile but that's one aspect I do appreciate. Small footprint mobile mice become very uncomfortable to use even for short periods, and after a couple of hours they will yield hand cramps that make work seem like WORK. As soon as I put the M720 to use, it was a revelation. This thing is like moving from an ultra-compact economy car into a 3-row SUV. It's ergonomics are superb, and it couldn't be easier to connect and configure. All my laptops are BT-enabled, so I can't speak to operation with the supplied wireless dongle (conveniently stowed in the mouse right next to the battery compartment), but if it's anything like the Bluetooth connectivity, it too should be superb. And I haven't begun to explore the myriad of button / wheel customizations that are available. As far as I'm concerned the M720 is perfect right out of the box. Due to its size, folks with small-ish hands may find it unwieldy so keep that in mind. But for me this is my new go-to traveling companion. If I could, I would give the M720 6 stars. Logitech knocked this one out of the park.

I'm so happy I went with this mouse. After extensive research, I finally landed on the Triathlon and it was a great decision. The size is perfect. I can't stand when a mouse is too small as I have large hands and fingers. This fits nice and comfortably in my hand. The customizable buttons are great and the wheel with the click lock feature is a nice added touch. Smooth scrolling, responsive movement. And at a decent price for all these features. I had to fiddle with the Bluetooth a little bit to get it to connect with my laptop but only for like 5 minutes. Still, as a backup it has the USB dongle which it can connect to but luckily I didn't need to use it. Also, DEFINITELY install the Logitech Options software. You can customize the mouse to your liking including which features your mouse's buttons can control and pointer speed and things like that. That being said, I noticed significant difference when I changed to pointer speed to the max level. For me the default setting was just not quite cutting it. It was ok at best, but now it's much better. Maybe that's just my opinion though. But I gotta say I love the fact that I can pick and choose to control things like volume controls or screen brightness among a variety of other options just from my mouse. Pretty neat feature built into the software they offer. I love this thing.

This is my favorite mouse. I work on the road and I lost an older Logitech mouse. This one works so much better. There is a button you can press to switch between click or no click on the scroll wheel, and you can connect it to up to three devices Bluetooth or with the dongle that is included. The battery life seems like forever. Would recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable mouse for bigger hands.

Very good upgrade from the M705

I came from using the M705 mouse twice over the past 15 years or so and was looking for an upgrade. The M720 is a nice way to go. It is a tad heavier and bigger but I also have larger hands so, ergonomically, it feels better. The weight increase itself is not noticeable. The functionality of multidevice through Bluetooth and dongle support is a phenomenal feature and is quick to switch. I thought the switch button might be accidently pressed when using the other 2 mouse buttons, but it is conveniently out of the way. Also, I like button in the thumb because it was a feature in the original M705 I missed when they did the upgrade. I can't speak for longevity yet but the price is good and it is a solid mouse. I mainly use it for office work, networking at home, and tinkering with coding on the RPI so the multidevice switch is very useful. Highly recommend

    Nice Mouse for the Price

Logitech products have been a choice for many years. Many to most have held up over the years and some not so much. This mouse replaces an M500 when the right-click failed. This mouse was chosen mainly for its larger size and replaceable batteries. I do not like rechargeable batteries especially when not replaceable along with shorter life cycles between charges. This mouse boasts a 2 year battery life which is consistent with previous Logitech mice purchased and this is for a single AA battery. This mouse has a comfortable weight and size better suited for my usage. It has a multi-device feature which I probably will never use but a nice feature if this is important to you. It has a scroll lock which is typically not used in my case. I prefer the free wheel scrolling and it really glides. The mouse clicks are accurate. The right-click has a different sound to it than the left. The right seems a little louder. The right and left click button are rather large and easily pressed. There are two buttons for the right and left click whereas on the previous model used it had a solid button for both right and left click. It does have an on and off switch on the bottom if that's of benefit to you. There are three buttons to the side that I never use or program. They don't cause any interference when using the mouse. The top and majority of the mouse is black. The bottom is white. Would prefer it to be all black but the white portion is very thin but visible. I would prefer if Logitech made all their mice with a replaceable battery option. Some of their "higher" models are only replaceable and although the ergonomics seem a better fit they lose me on the rechargeable batteries. It's a nice mouse for the price and hope to get a lot of use out of it.

This product is ergonomically designed to be comfortable with my crippled hand. It has a switch on the bottom that turns off the draining of the battery power when not in use. It moves smoothly across surfaces. It is large enough to make room for all fingers. The wheel has just enough resistance to allow accurate use. The buttons are sturdy enough for your fingers to rest on them but still respond to light pressure effectively. There is nothing I dislike about it. I use it on a very small table with a 15.6 inch computer and one hand span on the right with the mouse and 1.5 handstands on the left for paperwork. It is the best mouse I've ever had. I use it about 2-4 hours daily.

This is a very good bluetooth mouse. If you prefer a dongle or if your pc don't have bluetooth (I think BT4) the dongle works well too. This mouse has customizable buttons on the side. There are three buttons but only two of them can be customized as the last one (the one nearest the back of the mouse) is for selecting which PC you want to connect to. That's another great feature.... it can connect to 3 PCs and toggle between them using that button. It feels good in the hand and the wheel has a clutch ( the button on the top) that can be disengaged for very high speed scrolling. Overall, its a very good feeling and working mouse.

When I found the Logitech M720 Triathlon on sale, it turned out to be an excellent purchase. Being able to switch between multiple devices and/or monitors with the customized buttons for window navigation, and toggle between precision scrolling and free-spin scrolling makes it incredibly versatile, especially for long documents. I purchased the mouse at a discount, but it is totally worth the full price. Overall, it’s a great all-around mouse and a great entry point for anyone who wants to better understand what premium functionality feels like and how it can, potentially, improve your efficiency without jumping straight into a higher-priced, more complex option.

The M720 is a versatile and reliable mouse that I use for both my Lenovo laptops - one uses the Unifying Software wireless interface and the other uses the Bluetooth interface. Both work very well and battery life is not an issue at all. I always turn the laptop I use as my portable workstation's mouse power switch off when not in use. This model is a bit larger than a typical laptop mouse but still quite comfortable to the hand. The scroll wheel works effortlessly and doesn't lose its scroll indents unless you turn them off. This makes scrolling more accurate for most applications. Bluetooth connection is reliable and the preferred mode when USB ports are scarce. My only nit would be that Logitech should provide a bag for storage and transport as they have on earlier mice. All in all, a very serviceable and reliable laptop accessory.

I bought this because it was similar to my old MX Master that fits my hand well. Works great, reliable and no real complaints. I do note that, in spite of its very similar appearance to the MX Master, the scroll wheel does not have adjustable release via software; the slight click/drag is either on or off via the button on top. I'd buy it again, but if an MX Master had been on the shelf next to it, I might have bought that in spite of the higher price.

    Great mouse w/ annoying problem

The mouse connected well via bluetooth and unifying dongle. It fits my hand nicely and is comfortable to use although the back button and the thumb button are a little hard to acquire quickly sometimes; but this might just be something you need to get used to. The mouse is very smooth and the scroll wheel is nice when in the lock mode. The problem is when the scroll wheel is in "hyper fast" scroll/ unlock mode. It works well when trying to get from the top to the bottom of a long document, but the wheel seems to be a bit too heavy and if you are trying to read something after you've stopped scrolling, the wheel tends to move by itself like it's shifting it's weight back to a neutral spot. Not a total deal breaker but I definitely annoying. But for 20 bucks it was well worth it and a great everyday / full size travel mouse.

I'm finicky when it comes to computer peripherals. It has to be the right size, right features, and right feel, especially if I need to use it on a daily basis for work. I went thru a batch of mouse peripherals and always something is off. It's either too small, too flat, too big, or hard to click, or very soft to click, and so on. The recent Logitech I had was good, but I felt it was small for prolonged use and results to uncomfortable palming. Until I ran across the M720, which I think just has the right size, shape, and feel. I like heavier mouse, and the heft to this is just right. I like that it has the ability to do very fast scroll when you need to. I like that it has a lot of buttons to customize. And overall, I like that it can both be used either as a Bluetooth mouse, or with the 2.4Ghz dongle. Overall, this is one mouse I would want to use for a long time. It's comfortable for a full-day's use. I'm currently using it via Bluetooth, and I do not sense any latency or lag. The lag only happens when you first turn on your laptop and then turn on the mouse. When it re-establishes connection, it goes thru 2-3 seconds of sluggishness, which is expected and acceptable. But all throughout the day, it stays very stable and responsive.

This is the second of these mice that I have purchased. I really love the shape and the ability to connect to multiple devices. I bought this to travel with. I have not run into any issues with this mouse, I like the ability to have tactile/free scroll with the click of the button. I tried a different Logitech mouse with no forward/back button and I ended up having to get another one of these. I have heard complaints of the coating starting to dissolve after some time, but have yet to see that happen a year in with the other mouse.

I hate scroll wheels that ratchet, drag and make noise. I searched everywhere trying to find a smooth scrolling mouse with bluetooth that was affordable. When I found this Logitech M720 Marathon Mouse it filled all my needs and more. It has a comfortable ergonomic shape. A nice rubber type finish. Has a smooth free spin scroll wheel that can also be switched to normal scrolling if you wish. It can be connected via bluetooth or with the included usb receiver. Another great feature is it can be setup to connect to three different PC's and it remembers it's settings. I found this feature very useful. I use this mouse on my Desktop, Laptop and a tablet. At a push of a button I can switch quickly between each of the three PC devices. I love this mouse!

Great Bluetooth mouse. I like the convenience of being able to switch between 3 Bluetooth devices and comes with a usb dongle. I had the people people reported if accidentally switching devices by pressing the wrong side button at the start. But once I got used to the side buttons, accidentally clicking the switcher button was no longer an issue. Battery life is amazing haven’t needed to change the AA battery and have been using this almost daily for over 6 months for work. It’s also quite comfortable to use.
