I bought this one - open box. As I have done for many products and I typically have no issues. That was not the case this time :( I have to return it due to it not properly connecting to my laptop. I double checked with a coworkers keyboard and it connects fine so I must conclude that it is the problem. Although it is an inconvenience to have to take it back and return it - I am happy that best buy is always willing to take their items back or return them.

As awesome as Touch ID is, Apple makes horrible stand alone keyboards. Get a Logitech MX Master series. It hooks up via Bluetooth the same way this keyboard does and quickly manage three different devices. Also is cheaper I think.

While the touch ID is great, it is very light and the key travel is low.

I purchased this keyboard because the sales associate informed me that I would be able to use it with my older iMac; however, I had to bring it back because I could not use the Touch ID. Be aware that you will not be able to use the Touch ID with the older models but you can use the keyboard alone, which is not worth the amount of money if you cannot use the Touch ID.

Does not work seamlessly out of the box as all apple products should. Could not get the finger print reader to read even using numerous online tips and tricks to trick the computer to accept it. NOT WORTH $199!

Ordered before Christmas and it shipped to Saint Paul where it has been stuck in a "Delayed" status since. It's now February and still "Delayed". Nobody has reached out to let me know what's happening and there is no convenient way to track it down.

Too expensive and unable to use Touch ID if the MacBook is not an M1 chip.

Not a BestBuy issue. It’s a Bluetooth Apple problem. My New 2022 mini Mac, new display, new wireless keyboard and mouse: could not communicate. Power was on display. Keyboard Could not communicate with display. Called Apple & it took 1.5 hours to set up and the only way it could be done was to use my year 2000 wiredkwyboard and wired mouse. None of my (3) other Apple wireless keyboards would set up either and thus I bdrive back to BestBuy to buy the new wireless keyboard. It’s an Apple blue tooth connection problem and if Bluetooth does not work initially with the new mini Mac, display and keyboard an old model wired keyboard is required as the only solution to make the initial connection. I’ve been on AppleCare many times over the years and I am always requested to use the wired keyboard to fix issues.

Overpriced. I'm not sure what the hype is all about

This open box product was returned for a reason - it's faulty. By the time it started to exhibit the issues (keyboard just stops working despite being connected via Bluetooth, REPEATEDLY throughout the day), I was outside of the return window. BestBuy - you need to up your game, as well as your Geek Squad, if you are going to sell returned/open box items without ensuring that they are 100% working properly. It wasn't that much of a discount to get it this way, and I completely regret it

Only works with Macs with M1 models for the touch ID

Love this keyboard! I like having the Touch ID like my MacBook and a 10 key was a necessity due to the data entry I do.

Overpriced. Did not add any value or productivity to my setup.

I love the Apple keyboard and will never use a different one.

Sleek and slim design, though it does not have backlight.

We received a different model, and different color.

I'm not sure about the Touch ID with numeric because it doesn't have anything to support it at the bottom to place the keyboard at an angle.
