I can’t get enough of using this Apple Magic Keyboard; it feels right while typing on it, the numeric keyboard is placed perfectly on the right side of the keyboard as it should be, and the keys are soft to the touch with a slight faint tap noise that is not irritating to the ears. The setup was easy; plug in to charge fully, unplug, and you are ready to go to type the day away. Another thing that I should mention, I love how light it is, virtually ways like nothing.

Phenomenal with a Catch

The Apple Keyboard offers excellent tactility, a well-built design, and a sleek appearance. Its impressive battery life enhances its overall appeal. However, the absence of backlighting, considering the price point, is a notable drawback. Despite this caveat, it does offer Touch ID which in my book makes up for what it lacks.

I hate Apple. . .But. . .

If you hate they keyboard you got with your iMac because it doesn't have a 10-key, this will fix that.
The quality is typical Apple (terribly overpriced and impossible to repair on your own.). My gripe with Apple's design crew is that to get more battery life, they refuse to backlight their keyboards, so if you want to type in low light situations, forget about it and turn up the lights.
This keyboard seems to focus a lot more on form than function. Sure, it looks great in a spartan office (like you see in all the print ads) but unless it is sitting firmly on a flat desktop typing can be like juggling peeled grapes with wet hands.
Speaking of touch, I admit I'm an old school typist. Grew up on a Royal manual, then IBM Ball Selectric, then to IBM style computer keyboards. I am having a hard time typing accurately by touch with Apple's idea of what pressing a key should feel and sound like. I also hate typing on my phone.
But I digress. Overall the build get's an A- (Solid chassis but no backlight, and I don't like the "feel" of the keys)
The VALUE get's a D (If you knew what it actually costs Apple to build their products, you would find yourself in a moral dilemma. They are kind of the only show in town, just the way they built their tech empire.)
No body reads these reviews, so if you made it this far I hope I entertained you. p/s: I stand by my review.

I got this for the number pad and it’s wireless. It somehow holds a charge for days. The touch is the best of any keyboard and I have tried. The “Magic” key pad fits perfectly with it. Best combo I’ve found. I highly recommend this.

The best keyboard I’ve ever bought money wellspent

I personally love this keyboard is the best thing I have ever bought. Fingerprint scan works very well. It was kind of difficult to figure out, but I got it all. You really have to do is put your fingerprint in and then press the fingerprint button to lock your computer and then, you’ll be able to put your fingerprint again to scan it to unlock your computer. I love this Best thing I ever bought.

Almost Perfect: Major Flaw Included

In terms of Feel, it does take some getting use to because the keyboard lies nearly flat instead of having a more pronounced angle. After about a week, I was rolling.
On certain surfaces, it will slide on the table while typing. I learned how to adjust my typing posture. No lazy hands or fingers allowed.
I thought the Touch ID would be a game-changer with my Mac Mini. It's really not. I still have to type in my Password when booting up. And I can just as easily hit "Enter" to confirm my Passwords instead of using my fingerprint.
The major Con to this keyboard is the absence of backlit keys. I don't know how a $200 keyboard wouldn't come standard with backlit keys, but this one doesn't have them. A huge disappointment because keyboards nearly half the price come with backlit keys.
What saves this keyboard is the Design and Feel of typing. I haven't found a great comparable Brand to this one including options from Logitech. Close, but not enough.
And yes, keep your Lightning Cable because you'll need it to Charge this keyboard.
Would I recommend this keyboard? Even with the best typing experience I've ever had, I cannot. At this price point with no backlit keys is a deal breaker. A mistake that a Brand like Apple should not make.

This keyboard is flawless, sleek, and stays powered up with or without USB C to Lightning power connection. Key board keep long lasting charge. I would definitely recommend it. It works with my 2013 iMac and all new models, by adapting the lightning connector as needed. Bluetooth connectivity is awesome. It is the best in its class. Downside is that the keyboard isn’t backlit. Not cheap in price but very well built.

This is a perfect fit for my MacBook Pro, I love that I can type on it just like I was using my Macbook Pro. The finger print Biometrics is a plus, I don't have to log around my Macbook to continue typing. I just have to be near to connect.

Great keyboard and Battery Life but No Backlight

Battery life is very good. That's the most redeeming quality. I returned this due to it not having backlighting though...probably in order to extend the battery life though. The finger print ID also came in very handy as I was using this for a mac mini. Ultimately I decided I'd rather buy the Logitech Craft keyboard though even with it's underwhelming battery life and lack of finger print ID. Good keyboard though! Would recommend if you don't care about the backlighting.

Coming from a mechanical keyboard, it has been a been a bit of challenge, but this is a well built unit. It works flawlessly, easy to set up and is pretty much your only option if you have a new M1 Mac and want to use touch ID. That being said, would be nice if it was backlit, had some feet in the front to tilt the keyboard more, and was able to sync to more than one device like the logitech.

I've been using this for about a month now and have no complaints. The only reason I got it was for the touch feature. I have my MBP set up with two external monitors and it is closed so that touch id is out of play.*** I had the previous keyboard for several years and it was flawless so I'm hoping this one lives up to its predecessor!

The perfect keyboard for Apple Silicon Macs

I was using a Logitech MX Keys keyboard for years but missed the feel of my older Apple keyboards. The Touch ID is such a time saver. My MacBook is out of reach when setup at my workstation and this brings the Touch ID within reach and restored to key feel I was missing.

Black finish on keys cracks off with usage

The keyboard works really well, and I would've given it all 5 Stars in this review. There's a problem with the top finish / laminate on the black keys. As I've used it, seven (7) of the keys have "eaten" through the black finish to where the white characters / letters (i.e. E, S, D, F, C, V and L). I realize this is due to my fingernails tapping on the keys along with my fingertips. But this just shouldn't happen. With other style light-colored keys, which have black recessed / engraved letters the original key material doesn't wear off from usage. I love the dark keys . . . and it's a good thing I know where / which keys are from years of typing -- but it's rather a "sucky" result that needs Apple's attention.

I never thought a keyboard would be worth the $100 this cost, but it is worth so much more! The typing has the right clicky sound that is super quiet. The tactile feel is perfect. The fingerprint scanner saves me loads of time when logging into client files with passwords. I won't go back to non-Apple products after years of being a hater.

The Magic keyboard with Touch ID is great, what else can you expect from Apple.
Love the Touch ID, it's easy to set up and easy to use.
Personally, I find it a little bit uncomfortable. I feel like it's too wide, but that's just a personal preference. The keyboard is excellent.

Amazing keyboard. This is my 2nd one. I accidentally dropped my Gelato on the first keyboard and it was quite a bit. I am still working on cleaning that one out but I use this keyboard daily and it was worth every penny to just buy another one!! Highly recommend!!

As someone who spends more time typing than shooting pictures, I value the keyboard I use quite a lot. Having tried a number of keyboards over the years, I still stick with the Apple Magic Keyboard. Magneficent!
