Since my ISP increased my speed from 75 to 150 mbps, I needed to get a new switch.
This one was perfect, it was unmanaged and simple plug and play. Getting speeds of 170mpbs down now.
Small footprint too

Installed in my newly constructed home. Home came with a "structured wiring" package, that I expanded to run LAN connections throughout home, to plug all Smart TV's, Xbox's and Apple Airport Extremes to each floor to extend and give me the fastest network (vs. all wireless). This Switch has no external cooling needed, so Installed in the structured wiring box. I opted for this Switch vs. one installed with house because one that came with house was not Gigabit rated nor had enough ports. I'm no network specialist, but system appears to be runing well, fast, and stark improvement over previous home's wireless only system.

Excellent unmanaged switch. Does everything you'd want an unmanaged switch to do. Easily accepts RJ45 connectors. Has link light with activity indicator and connection speed indicator. Actually, every feature in an unmanaged switch you could possibly want. Probably does some fancy link layer protocol algorithms and such that's way over my head, but if you want to connect 16 office devices together with no hassle or fuss.... this is the switch for you.

Bought this switch to replace my 5 port Linksys switch so I could network some IP security cameras, computers, Roku, Chromecast, etc via ethernet cable. Works very well and distributes my high speed internet to all systems without any problems. Nice and compact and feels sturdy.

Works flawlessly. Perfect more my needs after getting google fiber installed at home. Was able to connect multiple Ethernet cables/ports to other rooms within the house from the smart panel.

This switch was easy to install for a home network to manage PCs, TVs, and other peripherial equipment. Noticed that the input from a router is connected to port 16 verses port 1. I'd recomment that Netfear supply a template for mounting holes. Easy to see which ports are active.

As my home network evolved so did the amount of ethernet ports. As I upgraded my network I needed a single switch to accommodate my needs and this was the perfect fit. Solid construction with the right amount of weight to ground it; a welcomed change as my other switches were plastic and often fell from the ethernet connections. The status light indicators are easy to see and determine which connections are running properly and the top of the box allowed me to attach labels for each ethernet connection, Highly recommend this switch for those who need more ethernet connections and who plan on needing more in the future.

Bought the switch to manage more than 8 connections and it works perfectly for two months and then started dropping connection unless I manually restarted the modem and switch. Replaced the model and the switch still didn't pass along the Ethernet connection. Return period ended two weeks ago.

Simple easy switch to connect the Tivo & minis, MyBook Live, Printer and all the other stuff in the house. Gigabit speed is major plus. Simple setup. Plug in the ethernet cables and plug it in. It works. My only complaint would be how the power brick takes up 2.5 plugs. If it would have been rotated 90 degrees it would have taken up only 1. But I'm nitpicking. It sits in the basement and works and I don't have to do anything with it.

I purchased this NetGear 16 port switch out of desperation while we were doing a work demo for a client. They only provided us an 8 port 10/100 switch that was killing our productivity and demonstrability.
A quick trip to Best Buy, and a price match from a certain online retailer, we were out the door and ten times faster at work. NetGear has always provided quality, reliable products. I have never felt like I made a bad decision when I purchased NetGear.
We are now using this switch as a separate lab environment switch and it is so nice to have a plug-and-play set it and forget it workhorse in the lab environment. I highly recommend NetGear as this is probably my 20th or so NetGear product purchase. I always look at NetGear first.

The switch was perfect for my home network. Note, the 16 ports includes the input. 15 Output with 1 input, all together on one side of the switch. This worked out great for my network. Super fast and it even fit inside my wall panel box. Metal construction is sturdy and it is plug and play, just plug it in and go.
