Apparently these switches have 5, 8, 16, or 24 ports. I wish the number of ports was always (2^n)+1 where n is any integer greater than 1. This product still works really well.

Good enough for the task. Just a basic networking device. Always get more ports than you need so you don’t have to buy a different one.

I am a techie but there nothing techie required when it comes to setting up this product. Pretty much just plug in all your ethernet cables first and the switch’s power cable last and you’re off and running.

It made the whole experience of connecting the internet throughout the house very simple

I have had this product a week and the speeds of the network are as advertised also, purchased this product to increase the ports on the network.

Comcast had installed a bridge on my home network and my download speed slowed down considerably. I realized it was bridge did not support 1000mps. I replaced it with this net gear. Problem solved.

This product does just what it's suppose too. Used it to help manage all the communication in my growing home network wifi system. Replaced several different switches which confuse the system and decrease efficiency.

I went with a mesh net system that only had 1 available port for the network cables. Plugged in 12 cables and one to the mesh gateway and boom done! Works great.

This is a no-frills switch and it was a painless installation. Connect to the power supply and connect to the rest of the devices and go. Very quiet and works as expected.
