Why doesn't our internet service providers set us up with a router with more than 4 ethernet ports? Well this 16 port ethernet switch works perfect solving that problem.

My experience with this series of Netgear devices goes back to 10 mbit hubs. And it still works. It does not generate discernible heat. Netgear switches just work. The only criticism I have is that the power connector does not lock into place.

It is an unmanaged switch so it is of course trivial to set up. I am impressed by the feel of the quality of the unit. I also like the LEDs which are very bright and make it easy to tell the speed of each link at a glance.

Our Church only had 8 ports to use, need more ports for adding more devices. This unit serves the purpose of what we needed to add more devices.

Switch was great to split my ethernet system throughout the house. Its on sale now and a must buy. Its unmanaged so there is no internal modification of the signal.

As advertised, this is a no-brainer for spreading wired access across our facility. We use both wired and wireless connections but trust wired for the important server connections. Excellent product.
