I’ve been using this Ethernet switcher for a while now, and it’s been nothing but smooth sailing. Setup was literally plug-and-play—no complicated software or extra steps needed. Within minutes, all my devices were connected and running at full speed.
Performance-wise, it’s rock solid. I haven’t experienced any drops, lags, or slowdowns, even when multiple devices are streaming, gaming, and downloading all at once. The data transfer is lightning-fast, and it really helps keep my home network stable compared to relying on Wi-Fi alone.
The build quality feels sturdy and professional. It’s compact enough to fit on my desk or tuck away, but still looks sleek if it’s out in the open. I also like how quiet it runs—no annoying hum or heat issues.
Overall, this Ethernet switcher is perfect if you’re looking for a reliable way to expand your wired network. It’s affordable, dependable, and just does its job flawlessly. Highly recommend for both home and office setups!

My NETGEAR 5-Port Gigabit Ethernet Unmanaged Switch (GS305), took a couple of minutes to setup and helped me to extend my router past it's physical limitations, by allowing me to be able to plug in up to 4 additional devices that use Ethernet cables. Your router continues to manage everything, so there was basically nothing i had to do. 1 minor issue: the box itself says nothing about a wall mounting kit being enclosed, but the instructions included does! Can't beat the price and i highly recommend it's purchase.

This is a fast switch, it made a difference on how long it took to send data from one computer to another. Easy to set up and a small footprint. I always like an extra port, 4 ports can be a problem form time to time.

This is amazing for my apartment provided internet service which only has 1 ethernet port on the router. It has allowed me to connect multiple pcs, with no speed loss or latency degradation. Another huge pro- It is literally plug and play. There is no software to set up or anything.

This is an excellent product for anyone with multiple devices that need a reliable wired internet connection. I ran an Ethernet cable from my living room modem to a bedroom and set this up in minutes. It’s truly plug-and-play, very simple to use. The build quality is solid, and the performance has been outstanding. A must-have for households with gaming systems, streaming devices, or home office setups.

If you need four more hard wired connections than this is for you. NetGear builds these in sturdy metal enclosures and I’ve never seen one fail. This is an unmanaged switch so it is easier to use, just plug in your existing network cable or add one from your router into one of the ports and you have room for four more devices like tv’s, pc’s and game consoles. If you want to get more devices off your wifi and improve performance you can get 8, 12, 16 and even 24 port switches. Just remember you’ll loose one port so you can connect 4, 7 , 11, 15 and 23 devices. If you want, they also make POE (Power Over Ethernet) versions as well that let you power wifi AP’s, securty/door cameras and other devices with just your network cable which really simplifies installation!

Works great and does exactly what it is supposed to. I wanted to have a wired connection to the devices in my loft instead of WiFi to get the fastest speeds possible. I only had a one line run directly so I bought this. Everything runs great, no lag, great picture. Setup is pretty much nonexistent because you just have to plug in the cables. It says 5 port but one of them is for the incoming internet signal so you really only get 4 connections for devices.
I would probably buy a version where all of the connections and power cable are on the back next time. It would look cleaner. This one has the connections on two sides.

What I love most is how “set it and forget it” it is. Installation was straightforward, compatibility was flawless, and it posted on the first boot with zero tweaks. It just works—and it keeps working. No random hiccups, no instability, no weird crashes. It’s that rare upgrade that feels both powerful and completely dependable.
