Excellent Switch Box

Fast, intuitive, rock solid and easy setup!

The existing one is 8-years old and still working but I wanted the newer administration and connectivity benefits of the v2 model. Install was a breeze using both the web interface and ProSafe plus utility. The switch is running fast and the console is showing a rock-solid 1000 mbps link to the other devices. Amazingly gaming performance has improved (didn't expect that). I just ordered two more for the rest of the house, and yes, those are also 8-years old and running perfectly but for a little money the LAN will be new again. Buy it, you won't be disappointed! NetGear keeps delivering awesome products!

No need to adjust any settings although that is an option if you want to give higher priority to certain ports or configure other advanced settings. Since my mesh router only has 2 physical ports I needed this device to connect to other hard wired devices (computers and printers) in my office. Very good speeds as well as I didn't notice any significant decrease in speeds vs. directly connected to the router.

This version (metal housing) has much higher interconnect speed than its plastic counterpart. Very happy with it.
