I had a 5-port switch and added another item to my setup so I got this 8-port switch, and it works great. would recommend to friends and family.

We have four of these in our system. We’ve never had an issue and never had to reset one in many years of use. Eight ports works out well for use in media centers or backup hubs. It’s amazing how many devices need a network port. These help to keep almost all of our streaming media going over wired Ethernet leaving the WiFi open for laptops, etc. Never even had a power adapter give us an issue. Very reliable.

If you need more ethernet ports, this 1Gbps switch is what need. It will allow you to connect up to 7 more ethernet cabled devices.
Highly recommended for TVs, Blu-ray, computers, printers. Things that are stationary and don't move.
**WiFi should be used for things that do move around (watches, tablets, phones, *specific* wireless devices).**

Easy to setup NETGEAR - 8-Port 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet Unmanaged Switch! Great price!
Easy to use and a great price for the number of ports needed. Used several throughout the home to have ethernet connections through our home for smart devices in every room instead of using all WIFI.
This is a reliable product at reasonable price, would recommend!

Bought it to replace a TD Gear that was failing. This switch is excellent. It connects everything at 1000 mb. Looks great and does exactly what is supposed to do. Auto connect and keeps network traffic isolated to the device that calls for information. Perfect small switch.

Great device. Nothing to setup. Connect the power cord, connect to your network and away you go. Easy to attach to a wall with the inserts and screws provided. This switch allows each of my connected devices to perform as if they were direct connected to my high speed router. The price was also very reasonable.

I've use this switch and other NetGear switches on multiple occasions with zero technical issues and zero setup sense it's unmanaged. Completely plug and play with great throughput and no lags.

Works like a charm! Installed it about a month ago and its performance has been flawless. Ping time, as well as upload and download speeds, are remarkably fast and stable in all outlets it serves. The switch and its power adapter have a small footprint so it fits nicely in the junction box. Also, lightweight enough to be held in place with a single zip tie.

My goto for unmanaged, gigabit switches. This network switch is rugged, feels like good build quality and I have never had any issues with them. The 8 port give flexibility to add multiple devices with no concerns for the speed of the device being plugged in. Cat 5e and Cat 6 cables both work with no problem. The power supply wall-wort is small and plugs into outlets, battery backups, or power strips with not issues. The front facing LED indicators let you know which port is linked and the speed, based on the color of the LEDs. The POE switches have also been winners in my book.
