Using this in my home which is wired for Ethernet. This switch went into the in-wall junction box, low power and low heat for in-wall use. Coupled with a Netgear AC WiFi Router and a Netgear 5 port 10/100/1000 switch in the media cabinet, we are achieving top speeds from the inbound Internet pipe for optimal network streaming.

These ProSafe switches are the best for plug and play.

I purchased it back in December and so far it has been working 100% without any issues. It cost a little more than the plastic version of the switch, but I found the cool blue color and metal housing worth the price difference.

Had not been impressed with Netgear routers in the past but this has been great so far. Great build quality too.

I needed an unmanaged switch to expand my in-house internet connection. This worked easily out of the box and have no issues. I especially appreciate the metal case and easy mounting options.

As advertised, so far no issues and up and running.

Looks good, and works very well. The steel box is very sturdy. The only thing I don't like is the tiny on/off switch, a bit hard to turn on or off. Most people will leave it on permanently, so it is not such a big deal.

When I need a networking solution, one of the first places I look is good ole Netgear. They still make their switches with a metal housing and with durable ports. I've set up an ethernet system in my living room with this so that everything that has an ethernet port on it, or is compatible with a USB to ethernet adapter, can have a fast, reliable internet connection. Works perfectly.

The Netgear 8 port ethernet switch seems very well built and was a simple plug and play.

installed due to to many work from home, kids from home school, and gaming. needed extra connections without all the intelligence junk. just plug and play. boom....problem solved, no issues so far works great!

I am running 1 GB ethernet an these switches make it simple to add on more devices (ie TVs, stereo amps, game boxes, etc...) without having to run additional wires to each room.
