Works as advertised. Actually better. Easy setup. Picked up a relatively weak signal from router better than other equipment meaning I could install it out of the way in a spare room.

At first had doubts this would help extend our Wi-Fi but it far exceeded expectations. The ease to access with our chrom cast for movies and the clarity on the tv great.

A new, faster Wi-Fi actually gave us less coverage in our own home, necessitating a booster/range extender. This one serves us well. Our router is near one end of our home on the first floor. By placing this range extender in the middle of our second floor, we get good coverage upstairs that we were lacking with the new Wi-Fi alone.

I bought this to extend WiFi to my shed. Great coverage and excellent signal. If you need to extend you’re WiFi, then this is an excellent choice.

I have a workshop in the backyard. It is a metal building about 50 feet from my house and 75 or more feet from the router. I get an excellent signal, to the point that I can now successfully stream my Xbox One games at full quality. The setup is simple, but I recommend installing the standalone drivers from the installation screen so you can just use Windows' built-in WiFi management. The other option is to install the Netgear software, which works fine, but I saw no advantages to. Setup took about 5 minutes, including opening the box.

When I initially set this up, I set it to use both channels (2.4 & 5GHz). I set it up using my laptop, running off the wifi. Everything seemed to work fine, even though the Netgear site said it wasn't working. Turns out, it may have been because I was too far away from my router and the range extender didn't have perfect reception. A 2nd attempt, right next to my router, provided better results, though that had issues too. Both channels of wifi had much better reception on my 3rd floor with the range extender, but I noticed that my Roku wifi was now having trouble with bandwidth on the 5GHz channel, even though it was still hooked up to receive from my router, not the extender. Turns out the extender steals a bit of bandwidth in order to repeat it. So, I went back into the extender set-up, which forced me to go in circles, trying multiple times to set it up for a 2nd time. Getting the system to say it was turning off the 5GHz extended signal and getting it to ACTUALLY turn it off were two different matters. Netgear's online system is pretty straightforward, but I had to run through it a half dozen times for it to actually work. Also of note, even if you choose to not extend one of the channels, it may repeat the other channel onto both. In other words, even though I set it to not extend my 5GHz signal, it started extending my 2.4GHz channel onto BOTH channels out. One channel in, two out. Not what I wanted. I finally got it to only take in and put out my 2.4GHz channel. Since then, I'm happy with the range of that channel and my 5GHz channel doesn't seemed choked for my Roku. If I had to purchase again, I would have tried getting the version that also transmitted internet through your electric wires so that I could plug in my Roku via ethernet cable. This isn't a bad system, I just would have gone another direction. Now that's it's set up the way I want and it's working, I'd recommend it with these qualifiers but since the question is a "yes" or "no," I'm marking no. Might have saved money if there was a 2.4GHz only transmitter - didn't even look.

Reviews and in store reading of box contents of this and others, I chose this one. Probably more than I needed, but I feel it is worth the $100 I paid. Set up was straight-forward, it found my existing wireless (Apple Airport) and created a _Ext version. I was able to use same password for all devices - Smart TV, BR disc player, iPad, etc. It does throw off some heat, but there are plenty of air slots, so i don't anticipate overheating issue.

This is my first time using a range extender, so consider me a newbie. The set-up was relatively straight forward and worked without much difficulty despite my inexperience. The range appears to be good and is accomplishing my goal. Since installation, we are noticing a little slower device speeds, but it is better where we had poor coverage before. .

I have been using this Duel Band for about a week now and the speed tests are better but don't expect to match a wired system. With that said, the range has improved the quality of the garage TV about 30 feet away. The devices you use will also limit the range extender, for example: The PS4 only uses the low band and the mps will stay about the same unless your just really far away from the router and this is the only way to get a signal. For the price instead of buying an expensive new router system, this works very well with your existing system.
