    This extender really helps reach areas that are challenging. However, it is a bit of a pain to have to switch from the router WiFi to the extender WiFi.

    I purchased this one because it was the one the guy at best buy recommended. Word for word he said "You need a mesh extender because it puts out the same speed of wifi that it receives". That's a straight up lie. Ive gotten better speeds from cheaper extenders when i needed one years ago. I bought this because we have a 2 story home, the router is downstairs and my office is upstairs. We have 300mbps, connecting to my regular wifi my laptop normally gets 350+ mbps upstairs but my ps4 and our tv up here struggles sometimes. My ps4 gets between 17-35 mbps inconsistently, i figured if i could boost that at all or even just make it more consitent i would be fine. Well when i connect to the extender I'm lucky if i get 3-5 mbps, same whith my laptop, and half the time its "connected without internet". The nighthawk app says its getting 250+ everytime i check it so it should be spitting out somewhere in the 100+ range at the very least. I even tried using it as a hardwire connection and it made no difference at all. Unfortunately i don't live close to a best buy so i really don't want to spend an hour driving one way just to return this item, but i might have to.
