Bad product

Securing it with a password so that no one outside your home can use it is a task for a software engineer with 6 PhDs, literally impossible for someone who is just looking to extend the Wi-Fi range in their home easily and quickly.

really hard & long installation process, don't buy

Once the update was complete it went dead. I tried to reinstall and it never worked, I had to return it. I went to a hardware store to buy a competitive product and it installed under 5 min and works well.

Loses connection constantly from 40 ft away.

The extender allows me to connect from my room with OK speeds and connection, but it constantly loses connection with my phone but doesnt throw any error codes.

would not connect

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.it said it was connected, mind you i have a older netgear extender it is wonderful connects fast and easy one button push one button push it's on, this one after fooling with it for a hour and half said was connected but every time I tried to get on the internet it said please go to the netgear site so I did, i logged on and connected this way, and still nothing. I am returning, what a waste of time, worst product ever, NOT user friendly and frustrating beyond. I worked with networks my whole life, this is a piece of junk, don't believe the reviews.

The all glorious ap continually says sign-in is wrong, even if I reset a password immediately.. The device has a wi-fi name and it takes over my home wi-fi. I thought/hoped it would be easier and better than this..

Annoyingly difficult
