Bought this Item to get a better internet connection for the computer that wasn’t in the same room as the router. The computer would get connection for a few minutes and then lose it.

I was looking for a wifi extender to extend the range of my current network and SSID. This device uses your network and creates a new one off from it. It does NOT extend your SSID. This device technically works, but not how I wanted it to.

The instructions and reality are two different things. I have tried numerous times to set this up and have been unable. I’ll keep trying and see what happens, but not until I’ve had a long rest.

Not impressed. Very dissapointed with the directions due to to much tech vocab that I am just to old to understand. I'm not impressed with how it works for my home layout, either. :(

The set up is very easy. I need it for my kitchen but It just didn't work for me. I have a 24 megabits per second and it made it to 3-8 megabits per second. So anything that was connected to it wouldn't work.

Straight trash. Setup is a pain “IF” it works at all. Had to factory reset three times. Plugged in and waited for the the green power light and to look for “NETGEAR_EXT” that never appeared, until after 3rd reset. Was only 10 feet from router. Took to garage and it appeared after yet another reset. Finally got it all connected. Full bars and connect my phone to is to test and talk about slow. So slow that I couldn’t open a webpage. Less then 70mbps and I’ve got GB service with over 970mbps on normal WiFi. Taking back as we speak

I bought this to extend my wifi coverage in my home. It was supposed to be easy to set up. Had problems connecting to my wifi router - which also happens to be a Netgear product. Tried calling Netgear customer service. Was on hold for over an 1 hour. Than they bounced me around to other people and nobody could help me. Finally they took my name and phone number and said someone would call me. Over a week went by and someone finally called. By that time, I figured it out. I don't think this product is that great. I do not see a difference in my wifi speed.

We wanted a stronger wifi signal upstairs in the house - thought about cheaper versions but bought this one - really good choice - now have strong wifi signal in all upstairs bedrooms and for high speed TV streaming it works great. I have a shed in the backyard and even pick up the signal from outside. Note on set up - give it a few mins to come to full strength when you first set up.
