Didnt work

Don't waste your time on this...

Other reviews mentioned the difficulty in setting this up, and they did not lie! I have 2 hours into trying to get this device connected without luck. I will return it and I will not buy anything from Netgear again. The instructions are hard to follow and pretty much worthless. BTW, this is no where near my first hardware install, but itbis among the worst. This should have been easy...

The instructions were very basic & not much help. We googled things to help us fix it, but did couldn't get it to work. To be fair, we did not call Best Buy or get extra help from them. In the end, we decided to just get the extenders from X-finity that went with our system, because we felt we would have better luck with that.

WiFi range extender ?

Not what I expected

It obviously has to work to double the signal so there is some loss but it should have allowed me more down and up load speeds as it said it would bring.

Not enough range to work properly

The app you need sucks.

You have to download an app. While installing through the app it wouldn't connect at all and disconnected my phone from my internet. Tried multiple times, netgear was no help and best buy wanted to sell me something else...that need an app. No thanks.

Horrible

I got home and tried to set it up. Was asked to call and I did. The guy granted access to my WiFi and told me that I had over 80 devices connected to my WiFi at that one time. Which was a lie and then told me that I needed to buy their subscription to help out and make this work better. I told to F off and log out of my WiFi and this is a joke right.

Wifi network is not detectable

I have downloaded and re-downloaded the app and have gone through the process to no avail. This product is rendered useless as the signal either does not exist or is not visible.
