So I had an issue with the strength and speed of the wireless signal in my second bedroom. Computer in main bedroom has Ethernet cable directly hooked into modem and gets speeds 90-100 mbps. The wireless was only getting between 10-20 mbps. Hooked this up and instantly got speeds up to 50-60 mbps. Only issue was that it kept dropping the signal. Sometimes after 5 minutes, sometimes after 5 hours. Googled issue and they mention interference could cause the issue and that you might have to change the channels on the modem. I thought this was B.S. and kept suffering with the dropped signals for another 2 weeks. Was on the verge of returning it, but decided to try and mess with changing the channels on the modem. Guess what...IT WORKS!!!......lol. 5G has not dropped signal in over 4 days and it runs between 90-100 mbps all day. Very Happy.......

    Much better range than expected

My primary router is in the basement and two bedrooms on the second floor have always had poor WiFi. This range extender not only solved the problem in those rooms it provides 5 bars of signal in just about every room on the first and second floor. Configuration and setup is simple using WPS and autoconfiguration. If for some reason WPS configuration isn't supported, the user interface is very easy to access and use. The extender adds additional WiFi networks that use the same names are noted by EXT after your original WiFi names. You use the same WiFi password. With a device like this, location is critical. It needs to have a decent signal from your router so you can't really install it in an area that didn't have WiFi coverage before. There are LEDs on the front of the device that indicate if you should move the extender closer to the router or closer to the WiFi device connected. Speed is great. Using DSLReports testing, there is no degradation in throughput. In fact, in rooms where previously the speed was less than 1/2 of the full speed of our internet connection, the speed is now the same as with a direct WiFi connection to the router.

I returned it. It was too cumbersome having multiple Wifi networks and switching connections depending on location in the house. We opted for a google Wifi instead.

I purchased this WIFI extender to cover a dead-zone where I wanted to put a security camera. Video from the camera was choppy to nonexistent before, signal less that -70 /dbm. I located the extender in a room with a good signal about midway between the dead zone and the router, and video is now excellent. Signal -30 to -40 /dbm, Set-up with WPS on a CISCO/Xfinity router failed, but manual set-up worked fine. Since the camera is generally the only device associated with the extender, I see no performance degradation. All-in-all a good solution for a good price.

Purchase this to extend the Wi-Fi at my home and it was the most awful thing. Had to return it for something better. Calling customer service was the worse. They hung up on me then when I called back I was asked for a call back number to call me back. "Really, I don't think so!!!"

This might look small, but it's very powerful and fast. Set up is a breeze. Before I installed, there was only wifi on one side of the house and only two levels. Now, there's excellent signal throughout all four levels including the basement. Great buy, highly recommend!

I'll b honest, only one I've tried. However it was a breeze to set up, my router, blinked the whole time after I linked the2. I just waited 2 min, knowing it times out. And since it's both 2.4 & 5 ghz, I repeated, waited2 more min, and shortly after, it was solidgreen on router & extender. I looked at my options under Wi-Fi, both 2.4, 5.0 showed up, yay. I put it in middle, between router and room I wanted boosted, it did work, but my laptop had a very week signal. than I put it in the hallway, Lil closer to my office where I need the signal, better and thought I was done. I then figured, let's try the room I was having the problem... And it worked the best. Couldn't b happier. Relays my slow 22mbps at the same speed. Does not interfere with regular Wi-Fi. A Must have if you need a boost. And it worked best, the furthest away from router!

My inlaws home was using comcast gateway/router in one. The signal was one band only and did not travel or work very well from the masterbedroom location. Unable to move from this location due to phone line attached to the modem, I tried this device. It was easy since we had the WPS buttons on the modem. The main user of the wifi noticed a difference with the speed and connection and is very pleased. The signal actually also went out to the street as well. The home is a onestory 2100 sq ft. The lot is 7300 sq ft. The signal that this extender produced covered all areas of the house with the 2.2 and 5 gig band. Very pleased with the outcome, and worth it. Best buy priced matched also since it was $7 less on other sites. I would recommend to try. If not, you can return...

Easy to set-up - works well

Extremely easy to set up. Just had to push the link button on my router and on this extender and they found each other and linked. Works well - we now have a great signal over our garage in our guest room and my wife's quilting room. She can now stream Roku to that room w/out any trouble. You have to set-up another wifi address which is a slight pain, as you have to change your laptop to that wifi address when you go to that room, but that is a minor inconvenience (esp to get a good strong signal). Recommended purchase.

Been trying to get wifi extension into the first story of my house so I can use it in the game console (which I was only getting 890Kb/s) and also to be able to use the laptop in the patio. Have 2 Linksys WNDR3700 and have tried many times to use them both as the router and extender with the Comcast technicolor TC8305C (after bridging and wifi off) but no luck. After reading the reviews in the website I decided to try this extender. Followed the instructions which are very easy to understand, not too techie, and in less than 15 minutes I had the extender downstairs working with no problems. Now the game console is getting 9.4Mb/s which is more than enough to keep the game going. I did notice some drop on my regular wifi but I can live with that. The size is also appealing as you will not have to have a router size box laying around and you get a ethernet port as well. I was going to give it 4 stars due to the price being a little high but after researching around best buy price was pretty much compatible within 20 dollars from other places and you get to try it the same day and if it doesn't work you can return it with no hassles.

Easy to install/configure. Purchased Netgear 1750 and three 1200s. The 1200s extend my network and connect non-wireless devices to the wireless. This equipment seems reasonably stable though had to reboot them a couple of times in the first week - fine since then (2 weeks). Solid performance speed-wise.
