The extender wi-fi is a great product its dose what it is supposed to do

This product works well except for one fatal flaw. On a network with multiple static IP devices, this device causes IP conflicts with a bunch of other devices. I tried it on an industrial network with several PLC's. These are devices that indicate an IP conflict and also indicate the MAC address of the device that caused the conflict. It may work fine for a day or so then all of a sudden all the other controllers lock up with a conflict. They all point back to the extender. This fact alone makes this item worthless. I have bought 2 of these. The one failed in about a month. They both caused the IP conflict multiple times, on different networks and different parent routers, so I know it wasn't a fluke. On a positive note, coverage is good and if you're just using it as a wireless hotspot, it seems to be fine.

The device wroks great!! Boosted my wifi signal more than i imagined and connects easily to play online.

Completely filled the gaps that were in my home network. The unit itself is inconspicuous, blending in nicely with the rest of the decor. Now there is no more complaining about computers, gaming systems, and smart tvs dropping network signals in the middle of an activity.

This was very easy to step up with the step by step instructions. Very easy to follow - about 9 steps or less. I have Verison FIOS 100bps and I'm only getting speeds with the extender about 15-20bps upload and download. I'm only in a townhouse and the extender is about 30 feet from the main wireless router. My office is in a room directly above the extender. I expected the speed to be better.

Discovered there was a dead spot at home for our wifi, so needed a signal booster. Did research and concluded that this product would do the job. It's so powerful that it's practically tripled the range!

Works like advertised. Easy setup and now my Wi-Fi goes down stairs and out into the yard.

Great for wi fi extension. Used it up stairs where my ipad would not connect and now works great.

This is NOT a WIFI Range Extender. It creates a whole new network that your device needs to connect and reconnect with. The best analogy I can come up with for this product is that it is like taking a flight with a layover when you bought a ticket for a non-stop flight. Once you are out of reach of your router, the signal will drop and then your device will connect to the "extension" network. What this means is that you are now connected to an entirely different network, so to get back on your existing router network, you need to disconnect from the "extension" network and rejoin your home network manually. This product actually created more problems for me and so now it sits in a drawer. If that description seems confusing, it is because I bought this assuming that it would extend the range of my network since that is what its called. Since it took me a month to realize what was actually happening, Best Buy will not accept my return because it is too long since the purchase date. If you are looking for a device to increase the range of your home network, you need a MESH extender, not this piece of garbage. The description of this product is misleading at best. "The AC1200 WiFi Range Extender boosts your existing home network by increasing WiFi range and speed, delivering 11ac dual band WiFi up to 1200Mbps. It compatible with any router and provides WiFi for HD video streaming and gaming even in remote places of your home. " It does not boost an existing home network, it creates an extended network that your device needs to connect and disconnect from while walking inside my own home. BestBuy you swindled me.
