I was on the fence getting a wifi extender as I heard it slows bandwidth down. However this one I only lost 5 mbs. With 60 mins download speed I'm perfectly happy with 50 to 55. It also doesn't drop the signal. I got it for mainly outside my home activities such as streaming music and it gives the needed reach which wasn't there with the router, which is in my office.

We needed something that allowed us to control our music in the back yard from our iPad based control. This unit did exactly that. We also have one at a second hime that extended service to bedrooms. It is easy to set-up and doesn't require any attention once that is done. There seems to be skepticism about the effectiveness of these units but this does all it claims to do.

Needed a range extender for my AT&T Netgear portable hotspot when used in the house- could not get a signal very far away due to too many walls. Tried a Samsung brand at first but not able to make a connection to the hotspot- no cable port available on hotspot. Located a Netgear unit at BestBuy . Setup was very easy. Now have excellent signal strength anywhere in house- even get good signal at neighbors house 50 yards away.

One thing about many Internet products, you never really know how well they work because of all the things that can affect the signal. With this product at least you can turn it on and off and see how the signal strength responds. This seems to do the job.

Was easy to setup and makes a good to the camera out by the mailbox. Sometimes when you walk pass the extender it switches your access point to the extender, a little annoying. All in all it works very well.

I want to tell myself this extender works. There are so many variables to why internet service may be slow or spotty in homes. The internet is better is certain parts of the house where it used to be slower. The set up was not the easiest, but it eventually worked itself out. The extender shows up as a separate item on the wifi list, so it was confusing as to whether I should pick the router or the extender to connect to. After some trial and error I eventually connected to the router and haven't had any problems. I don't have much to compare it to since this is the only extender I've ever bought.

Bought for the upstairs of my house to help the connectivity for our media room. Worked like a charm. My kids are able to play multiple devices without losing connection.

Our wifi was weak because of the location of the modem. I researched best extenders and this was recommended. It is as advertised. My wife mentioned the difference in speed immediately. Totally happy. Getting it setup had a few bumps.

I bought this to extend Wifi coverage of my mom’s existing Netgear router. I was not able to get WPS to work but install was still pretty simple and I’m surprise how strong the signal is from this little device. Well worth the money if you need to extend wifi to reach those new security cameras outside.

I imagine, if you are willing to pay almost $130 for an extender, it is great. I have a Netgear Nighthawk Router that was working just fine on it's own, but with a 3,000 sq. ft. house, I thought this would make it better. Boy, was I wrong. After installing it (And, yes, I followed every single step in the manual to a T.) I had worse to no connection at all. I called Netgear support, and was on the phone with them for over 3 hours. The problem was not resolved. The next morning I unplugged the extender, and went back to my old network settings. Now everything (My PC, Laptop, 128GB iPhone 6, Ipad Air, and my wife's 64GB iPhone 6)are running exceptionally well. The moral of this story is: Get an excellent router, and don't spend the money on one of these.

This product does help speed up your wi-fi, and it went through concrete walls, it adapts to apple routers. It is a bit frustrating to have resign into the 'extending mode' and to keep switching back and forth; yet, I think this would be with any time of extender.

The NETGEAR - AC1200 Dual-Band Wi-Fi Range Extender works well in my house to boost the WiFi signal to a printer, 2 Lap tops and iPads. It was a little hard to get set up.
