Setup was a breeze and can't complain about the speed. Built in ethernet connections are a plus. Definitely boosted by WiFi speeds throughout my 2 story home. I highly recommend it to all.

I just needed to extend the range of my cable internet. 5g is fast, but does not have the best range. This product filled the gap. My wife connects to this for work every day and has not had any issues. If you need to extend your range, this will do the job reliably.

Easy to setup, and it very powerful. I love this router, it has given me much more range than my previous Airport Time Capsule. You can also hook up a hard drive to it and access anything on it via their app.

I have been using this Netgear Nighthawk AC 1900 Dual-band Range Extender for a few months now and I couldn't be more pleased. Our walls are very thick (double adobe) and getting strong wi-fi signal any distance from a router was hit or miss, usually miss. This device has solved the problem. It was easy to set up and the dual band feature is a plus. We have a variety of devices and all work well thanks to the range extender. Time was spent researching range extenders; we are pleased with this selection. We highly recommend this!

Although primarily sold as a WiFi range extender it can be used as a wireless access point for an established wired network (e.g. network already has a wired router installed). I use it in this mode and its performance (range through both frame and masonry) and reliability are great. Only issue was initial configuration. The manual did not state that if you use it in wireless access point mode in a network with a wired router, you can only do its initial configuration by connecting it to a computer with an Ethernet cable. Not a big issue since most people will use it strictly as a WiFi extender.

I live in a solid stone 8,000 sq ft house. My primary router is on one end, so we were loosing signal in the other half of the house. This fixed our problem. We now have 100% signal in the whole house.

Just buy it. I called the help line and they guide me through the set up process. After that I had great connection. At first I bought the wall plug in which were a joke. So decided to spend more money and we’ll worth it. I’m able to hook up 6 tablets, tv, and 5 phones all at the same time. Sum it up spend the extra cash and Buy it. Oh the range is 3/4 of city of Chicago block long.

Researched online for the best wifi extender to replace our old Netgear WN3000RP as it wifi speeds and reliability were honestly a joke. Decided to pick up a new extender during Cyber Monday and though I was originally going for the $60 AC750 extender, The Nighthawk AC 1900 Extender offered more than double the speeds and was able to handle boosting two networks simultaneously for only $30 more! This was just what we needed to finally be able to fully utilize our high-speed wifi bridged from our Nighthawk router and enjoy uninterrupted gaming and streaming throughout our home!

The router is easy to configure with existing router without much technical knowledge. It has excellent coverage to reach my whole house and garage without issues (my existing router only cover half of my house). Also, I purchased other wifi extenders and none of them compatible with my routers, it keeps dropping wifi signal. Only this model doesn't have any issues and no dropping singal. The only drawback is very expensive!

    Solution to brick walls

I needed an extender to boost my Wi-Fi range from one end of an apartment to the other. Unfortunately, my apartment requires the signal to go through 2 brick walls and a living room to reach the next room, and 3 brick walls to reach through the last. Keep in mind that in front of the router, Wi-Fi speeds average 120~140. The 2.4 Ghz signal goes through to the first room fine but occasionally drops and the download speed is roughly <30 Mbps. The furthest rooms gets <5 Mbps. With this Wi-Fi extender placed in the living room closest to the first room it must reach, I was able to boost the signal and speeds are now at a consistent 95~100 Mbps for the first room and 55~75 Mbps for the last room. Roughly 9 yards from the router to the Wi-Fi extender and another 12 yards to the last room. All in all it fixed my problem. The only reason why I'm rating it 4 and a half stars is because it cost almost as much as another router.

My WN2000 was not meeting my needs -- so I decided to go upscale with the Nighthawk. Not only does it produce a good signal but the throughput speed is much improved. It picks up the signal from my router from a distance of about 125 feet thru one wooden wall a single thick glass panel and a large azalea on the path and then needs to deliver it only several feet to where I use my laptop. I have had a rate of 50 Mbps. I can send print jobs back to the printer located near the router. Only complaint - very limited instructions. I am in my seventies - still use a flip phone without a camera - do not send texts while driving and never place a call while driving in other words not tech savy but did get it working without help. More printed notes would have helped me.
