I love this surveillance set up right here! It has everything you need to get started. Hook up all cameras and components, load up app and keep your property protected and recorded! Super easy! I thought it would be hard! The video is crystal clear day or night!

The Night Owl 8 Channel system is wonderful Easy to use and set up. Came with four cameras and I was able to add 4 more. Only tricky part is running power to outside locations to power cameras. Plan out where you want cameras before purchasing to ensure the best use of the system.

I’m a security technician who actually gets customers to get these cameras cuz of the quality of them, if you don’t have Ethernet cable in your house or don’t have attic access to entire home this is the product for you.

If the internet isn’t strong enough it goes in and out and one of my camera’s don’t work at all One of my other cameras go off all the time

I absolutely love this camera system. Set up was pretty easy and the quality is super clear. Used this system outside my 2-door home and I can see everything that goes on. Well worth the money!!!

Great system but the sale women that sold it to me told me I wouldn’t have to run electricity to each camera that they ran on batteries was not true at all when i opened the box the first thing staring at me was all the plugs for each camera so that ment i would have to run plug boxes for each camera and there is eight cameras not a very happy customer

The quality of the cameras is good and the cameras are very adjustable to any angle

This is a great deal and system, only bad thing is the APP that you download to monitor the system on the go it has been down a couple times already and customer support isn't the best

have to continually re-connect to the device main system if I don't look at the cameras for a couple of week. really weird. so If I forget to check before I leave my home I can't see the cameras till I get home and reconnect with the main device. can't hear when trying to talk to person through the camera. only great this about this camera is that it plugs into my wall outlets and I don't have to keep changing batteries like the last camera I uses to use.

Easy to set up, crisp image and all around great buy! Nice to see my entire neighborhood and keep an eye out for any burglars that maybe coming around! App is amazing, has zooming capabilities and all!

Great picture quality. Sound lags a bit, it quit showing up on my phone about a month later and it's been hard to reconnect

This is the second night owl system I have purchased, the first was a wired system for my home and this wireless system for my business. It picks up from a good distance even when there are steel beams in the way it still picks up great. Also I was unaware when I bought this item that each camera needs to be plugged into a outlet, so you have to plan out exactly where you want them. There is a slight delay when watching the cameras on a monitor but that can be expected when these are wireless, my wired cameras are in real-time with no lag just to compare the two. Overall I am happy with these cameras. I have already recommended night owl cameras to friends and family.

I purchased this product to replace another camera system I had at our shop. This was right before we were ordered to shelter in place and stop working. I needed something quick so I stopped at Best Buy to pick this set up instead of waiting for a different system to be shipped to me. I also wanted to make sure I had a reliable system in place if no one was there. For the most part it is OK. The video quality is good and you can hear what is going on without interference. I set up the app and Connect SMC software so I can view the cameras from my phone and computer. Unless you catch video at the time it is happening on your phone to record, you cannot go back and find it later to save. On the computer, you can download an hour of video at a time to review later. This is a pain in the rear..... I started having an issue with the alerts coming through, yet my app was saying the device was "offline". I contacted customer support. They could not help me because I was not near the DVR/device. Really? Nothing to troubleshoot from a distance. I am 3 hours away from the DVR. The NightOwl rep told me my internet provider must have reset my IP address. They did not. I went to customer support chat.....two hours later the NightOwl rep tells me to delete the device from my app. Not knowing any better, I deleted the device from my app. Had I not deleted the device, I could have had someone reset the DVR and Internet and the DVR would have reset and my app would be working again. But no.....I listened to the Night Owl rep and I deleted the device from my app. The NightOwl rep said that I would have to drive the 3 hours ONE WAY to reset up the device on my app. WHY?????? IN THIS DAY AND AGE DO YOU HAVE TO BE NEAR THE DEVICE TO SET IT UP OR MAKE CHANGES???? Never have I ever had a camera system that I have had to be near the DVR to do this. This company and system are so behind the times that you have to be at the DVR/device to do any troubleshooting. Stupid. 1. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. There are better cameras and DVR's for the price with better support. 2. There are camera systems that you can troubleshoot remotely. Once you leave the DVR, you know you will have issues. So don't waste your time. 3. Today I am making sure there is NOTHING that I can do to fix this problem remotely. I have been waiting on "chat" for over three hours today so far. I have been the 2nd position in the queue for over an hour now. They must only have a person or two working or there are also a lot of customers with a lot of problems. There are companies that have quicker and better customer support that really want to help you. Not screw you up even more. 4. In this time where people are not supposed to travel or work, you would think NightOwl would have other suggestions to fix a system remotely and give those to you FIRST instead of forcing you to travel to the device before they will help you. Had I known this, I would have NEVER purchased this product. If I have to travel to go fix this system, it will be replaced. NightOwl system is not a good system and their customer service is of no help. 5. After 3.5 hours waiting for help on chat, I got stuck 2nd in queue and no one helped me. Very typical for this company. STAY AWAY!!!

The Night Owl 8 channel cameras are great the only thing is I had to download the user's manual it should have been inside the package. So for my wife and I love the cameras. 7/17/2019

Easy to setup and works well. The cameras were easy to setup and works really well. Finding the right app was slightly confusing, though works great!!!
