This is a great camera for novice users. It is easy to use and the grip helps hold the camera tighter to the hand.

Awesome camera the zoom was incredible. We took it on a trip around the USA. It is very easy to shoot selfies with it also.

This camera was purchased for a teenager to learn photography. There are enough auto settings to get good photos and enough manual controls to learn a little bit about cameras too. It was a good choice for us.

This is my first digital camera ever and so far it has been very easy to use.I couldn't give it five stars because I haven't trasfered or printed any pictures yet. I like the fact you can record video with it.

Camera is good for whoever wants better pictures than compacts, but don't want to deal with a DSLR. Zoom is a little too much for its focusing capability.

This camera is perfect for me. It was easy to learn to use; basically went through all the menus and figured out what each one did.

I bought this for my 5 year old son. He likes using my D5200 but its too cumbersome and heavy for him. All the cameras made for children are terrible. This is a very good, reasonably priced beginner camera.

The Nikon Coolpix 840 camera was a wedding gift for our grandson and his bride. They were very thrilled and impressed with the camera's construction and ease of use, as was I. They have already taken many memorable photos.

Good quality, ergonomic design. Comes with nice extras like included batteries, strap, and lens cover. Doesn't focus as quickly as I'd like, but still takes great pictures. All in all, a solid camera.

This camera is amazing and Also looks great too. It is not difficult to operate. I also would like to add that it came with a lense cover and strap. Certaintly saves the trouble on spending extra for those acessories

I bought this to use for my son's sporting and band events, thinking it would be easier and more convenient to use/access than my Nikon 5500. I guess I'm still in the learning phase, but I am not impressed with this camera AT ALL. When completely zoomed in on the action, it is SO slow to focus; therefore, I missed the majority of the action. It just took too much time to come into focus to take the shot, and the zoom lens is not fast enough for my needs. And the flash does not automatically pop up...at least I could not get it to do that. I also thought it would be easier to carry around than it is. It's almost as bulky as my bigger SLR Nikon, so it's not worth keeping this camera to replace my more expensive one. I had high hopes for this because I like the way it feels in my hands and I love the color of it, but it's not worth the money when I already have an expensive outfit sitting in a cupboard. I am returning this camera and looking for a truly compact camera that will fit in my purse and take some quick, easy photos. Or I'm going to start lugging around my SLR and all its equipment to get the shots I want. I would, however, recommend this to someone who is looking for something in between a compact and SLR camera....if you have the patience to learn how to use it, which I obviously don't. lol.

I bought this camera for my wife to replace a CoolPix that the battery compartment would not stay closed on - thus worthless. This camera has a great zoom feature and is relatively easy to use.

One of the reasons I chose this camera was because it was easy to use and very similar to my old camera. It's easy to hold and comes with a strap to hold it around my neck in between pictures.

I love this camera. The distance that you can zoom in and still read the words is amazing on such a small camera. I would definitely recommend this camera to anyone who wants to take great photos from a distance.

It does everything I need takes beautiful 16 mega pixels photos so its good until iphone makes a stupid phone that can go that high in mega pixels so far there at 12 so it's still not obsolete

Camera is light compared other cameras I have. Uses AA batteries, but so far we have not had to replace them, so battery life seems to be great. So far so good!

We LOVE our new camera! It has been a long time since we had a decent camera, but the price and quality of this one were too good to pass up! Our first use was for senior pictures and they turned out beautiful!!!
