Even the packaging is beautiful. The level of attention to detail Oculus shows at all levels is excellent. Everything from the cords to the device itself are high quality. Setup is easy. Even the sensor setup is easy once you follow the visual directions. The graphics are stunning, and the experience is unparalleled - enhanced most of all by the Touch controllers. Whether flying in zero-gravity or waging magical duels you will lose yourself in the game and the experience. 100% recommend for all gamers both serious and casual. Recommend: You can play in a 5x5 space, but I recommend minimum 8x8 area in your home, preferably with a high enough ceiling you can't reach it while standing. Invest in a 6x6 padded foam mat so you can stand for a couple hours without shoes.

My wife and I went to an arcade that had a VR headset coupled with a motion platform that simulated a roller coaster ride. We enjoyed it so much that we stopped at the local Best Buy afterward and checked out the Oculus. There happened to be an Oculus rep there who demoed them for us and since the price for the complete package was reasonable at $350 we (well, more I) decided to buy a pair right then. I had been wanting them for a while so the time was finally right. Have to say I'm really enjoying them. The experience is really quite impressive, especially coupled with the right games. I bought MOSS first and had a blast playing the game. It was so immersive that sometimes you have to lift your headset up just to remember the world you're seeing isn't real. I'm playing Lone Echo now which I highly recommend. You really get the feeling of space and all its vastness. Just be careful and give yourself plenty of room. I don't know how many times I thought I was facing forward and when I took the headset off I was backward. You totally lose touch with the real world and occasionally I'll smack into something if I'm not careful. Also recommend you download the free Google Earth VR some time and travel around the world in 3D. It's quite an enjoyable experience to see the world presented in VR. Anyway, I primarily bought the Oculus because of it's great support in games, and because I'm into flight simulation and wanted to see what they would be like in that world. Wow, it is a totally different experience. It's hard to go back to a flat screen now after flying around in VR. Unfortunately manipulating the virtual controls still isn't easy but it seems to be getting better all the time. Once they nail that down I can't see ever going back to a flat screen to fly again. The sense of presence is truly remarkable. The headset itself is generally comfortable to wear. It's not overbearing, just every now and again a little too much weight will press on the bridge of my nose and get a little uncomfortable. Readjustment usually takes care of that. The lenses seem to need to be cleaned regularly or smudges start to form and the images get blurry. The headset sound is great and games that support spatial sound really pull you in with sound seeming to come from every direction. The controllers are comfortable and pretty intuitive for the most part. Setup was simple and Oculus supports several games I already have so it's great to now experience them in VR without having to buy them again. The image quality isn't as sharp as I would like, which I knew going in. To my eyes, I can see the pixels which takes away from some of the sharpness and fine details. However, after a while you get used to it and it doesn't really bother me much unless I'm trying to read some fine print on something. Gameplay is very smooth on my GTX 1080Ti and i7-7700K machine. Overall, I highly recommend these, especially at the sub $350 price. I really believe much much more is going to go to VR in the future so I think it's well worth to own a pair at this price point and point in time.

Great product overall. Comfortable and very intuitive. The bundled controllers are awesome and are a must if you want to truly experience VR. What you must understand about VR is that this is 1st Generation. The graphics won't be great and there is definitely a screen door effect. But the immersion factor is incredible. It's a start of hopefully a very good future for VR and the Oculus is leading the pack when it comes to quality and price point.

I have had the chance to use my Oculus Touch for a few months now and I have to say that every time I put it on, I am blown away by how immersive it feels! I've used other systems in the past like the HTC Vive and the Google Daydream, which were both pretty cool, but the touch controllers really make the difference in my opinion. I also recently purchased RockBand VR and it feels even *more* immersive since you're holding the same object in real life that you see in VR. It's actually spot-on when you look out of the bottom of the headset and go between VR and the real world. The one thing I would give marks off for is the software as it can be a pain sometimes. The biggest drawback I found was that it's *very* difficult (although not impossible) to store you games on a separate drive from your main C:\ drive. There are some articles that show you how to do it, but this took me a while to get right. That said, I did not take any marks off of the score because it was a minor inconvenience and I was doing something "out of the norm". If you run the installer the way they want/expect you to, everything works great.

I was set on getting the HTC Vive, but ended up with the Rift because It went on sale and was $150 cheaper at the time. I am completely satisfied with the Rift. The screen door effect is only noticeable when you are looking for it. The tracking is great, though it could use a third sensor in the back for when you get turned around. I love the controllers. The included headphones are not amazing, but they are great and included unlike the Vive audio strap which adds $100. I considered buying a second one when I got this home and set up. Totally worth it. Great product. Glad that I made the purchase.

The Oculus Rift is the best way to get into VR on the PC. The price has come down to reasonable levels and the set includes the touch controllers and 5 games. Robo Recall on it's own justifies the package, in my opinion. Full scale PC VR is something you have to experience. The tutorial you go though when you first set up the Rift was one of the most amazing gaming experiences I have ever had. You need a decent bit of space to set up the sensors if you want to play room-scale games, so keep that in mind. You can get by pretty well with the two included sensors, but adding a third will make the experience better.

I say intro because by now a multitude of headsets are hitting the market. For a 350$ price tag it’s still top notch compared to phone vr. The rift has its design flaws but right now every headset has its great positives and negatives. The is by far the funnest way to game or watch any kind of 3d or movie content. The rift controllers feel great in your hand and very natural compared to the htc model. The lenses aren’t the greatest compared to others as well but this is the most bang you get for your buck!

I have had limited experience with VR, but more than the average consumer. I first bought the PlayStation VR back when it launched and I remember being incredibly impressed, but the tracking issues really bummed me out after a while and it eventually got shelved. I then tried phone VR which is really lacking as it doesn't track your position and its really more for watching movies and other media. I finally got a decent enough computer that could run VR at its best settings and after doing some research came to the conclusion that the difference between the Rift and the HTC Vive were minor at best unless you counted the initial setup. The major difference was price, I picked this up on sale for 320, which if you know is only half of the price of the Vive. What you get is a headset that is equal to or greater than the Vives, plus the much superiour Touch Controllers. Trust me, once you use these you won't be able to go back to the vives again. You also have access to all the same games that the Vive offers, plus even more games because the Rift has its own store with some exclusive games that you can not find on the Steam page like Lone Echo. So to recap, for half the price you get 1)Headset of equal quality to the standard Vive, 2) Better Controllers, 3) Access to more games. It really is a no-brainer. In conclusion, you should get the Oculus Rift if youre thinking about entering PCVR, right now is the perfect time to jump in.

I bought the Oculus Rift + Touch Virtual Reality Headset Bundle, and it was a great deal for the price. I looked into the HTC Vive, but it was $100 dollars more. You can't even get the HTC Vive at Best Buy anymore. I bought it because my friends and I are planning on doing some VR gaming. It was very easy to setup and the VR experience is amazing. The touch controllers are so much better than the larger controllers for the HTC Vive.

My gosh this thing is freaking amazing. The reactions you get from first time users like friends and family is amazing. And I’ve spent so much money on games my wallet is crying. I love how in expensive this is in comparison to the Vive and I definitely reccomend getting a 3rd sensor, then the tracking is just as good as the vive. My only complaint is the length of the cable for the headset is a couple feet short but that can be easily extended with some inexpensive active cables for hdmi and usb 3.0. Controllers are awesome. If you have the system and the money. I would get this right now or go and try it out some where because it’s an experience you can’t describe. Even though your field of view is only at 110 degrees and the screen resolution isn’t that good, it’s not the system, it’s just the technology we have at the moment. There are higher quality screens but not as good as an overall gameplay experience as the oculus does.

Got this at the summer sale and it came with a couple of free games. I had tried an oculus rift before without the touch controllers, but i have to say that the oculus touch controllers make all the difference in the world. You really have to experience it to fully believe in it. The best way I can describe it(and how other people have described it) is like transitioning from 2d sprites to 3d graphics

The Rift is class leading in simplicity and use. It was very easy to setup and get running. The touch controllers are amazing. I use it primarily in iRacing, but since the touch controllers are so good I've been exploring other games. I run a i5 4590K processor (overclocked to 4.5GHz) and 1080ti graphics card on windows 7. I've had zero issues with stuttering or smooth game play.

Got the Rift for my wife, since I already had the Vive, and at the Summer sale price you can't beat it! First, I actually like the controllers more than I do the Vive controllers. The headset is light and easy to wear for long periods gaming. Currently running it on a new Alien Aurora R6 with a GForce 1070 card and it performs excellent and very fast screen (goggle) refresh. Not jumpy-ness or frame sticks. Like I stated above, the hand controllers on the Rift are very comfortable and natural-feeling when playing. I really like my Vive, but at the Summer Special of $399 at BestBuy for the Rift with controllers it's very hard to justify the cost difference (Vive is $799 with controllers). Wife loves it, so now we are starting to learn how to play VR games together on our network. If I were you, I would get it before the special ends!

Amazing vr experience once you get it set up. Had to exchange my first one due to dead pixels and had some issues setting it up oculos support isn't very helpful. But once it was set up it is amazing and very immersive. The controllers are much more intuitive then the vive.

The rift is awesome! I find myself always wanting to play it. I did a decent amount of research before purchasing a VR system and decided to go with the rift for its built in headphones, less screen door effect, better controllers, and not needing as big of a space. I use a 3 sensor setup currently and have been having a blast with roomscale. I had some troubles in the beginning due to my motherboard only having one usb controller hub so I did have to purchase another one for the three sensors with two sensors it was fine for me with just my motherboard usbs. Other than that hiccup I have had nothing but good times and a great experience with the rift.

I bought oculus then preorder samsung oddysey after watching many reviews on YouTube i tested both and i end up staying with oculus, better controllers with no loss of sight as compare to samsung, oculus was more immersive my eyes gets more tired and motion sickness with samsung cause of contrast and oculus games just plays much better with oculus rift i tested robo recall and others i only need it the two sensors for oculus to work 360° one on front one on back hanging on wall easy to doit if you use little imagination, for me oculus is a better quality device

My wife and I had become believers in vr after a demo with the HTC Vive at a windows store. However, when we wanted to buy one, no one had them in stock. So we decided to go with the rift. I can’t say I regret it at all. The rift provides amazing vr experiences, with great tracking and capabilities. The controllers are much nicer than the vive’s as well. The only thing I would recommend is getting a third sensor... it makes some games much better.
