Easy to use, set up. Great quality. Love that it syncs with my cell phone. Very pleased.

I'm not up on all the technology for surround sound connections and the best quality. The sales representative at Best Buy gave me a quick lesson on how to set up my system and recommended this product. I looked up the brand and saw it had high ratings and I'm satisfied with the product use in my home.

Works for what I needed it for. Got back into vinyls so I needed this to work with my record player in the room where it is used as of now. My old receiver went to my son so I needed a good new one.

While not a high end receiver, this unit delivers a lot of bang for the buck. This is my second Onkyo, I still have my first one too.

After having pioneer for 10 years, I am very pleased with onkyo. I love the setup process. Very pleased with the onscreen display. This deal had my name all over it.

The best thing about this "AMAZING " receiver besides the price is the powerful BLUETOOTH, I live in a two storage house, and I can browser my songs from any part of my house. NEVER DISCONNECT! EXCELLENT!

4k for the price! you cant beat it. Easy set up. Sounds great! Had a Sony 1080p Receiver and needed a 4k to match my new tv. Bluetooth is a bonus. Just buy this one. You wont regret it!

This was purchased to replace a 25 year old Sony receiver that finally gave up the ghost. I went to Best Buy to see about purchasing a sound bar. I was not looking to spend a fortune but I also wanted rear speakers for a true surround experience. Since I already had all the speakers I needed and they were already in place the sales rep suggested I just replace the receiver. Once all the speakers were hooked up and everything was plugged in and ready to go the rest couldn't be easier. Onkyo provides a microphone with the unit that is placed in the area where you will be listening from. Once the mic is placed the unit does the rest. Sound is sent out from each speaker then the unit automatically calibrates the distances from the unit to the speakers and set all the necessary levels. With 700 watts of power the first time I watched a Blu-ray I felt like I was in the theater. The sound was incredible. I wanted to max out the volume to rattle the wimdows but my wife didn't approve, maybe at a later date. Until then I will continue to enjoy my Onkyo receiver.

I purchased this receiver to replace an older Onkyo. The old receiver still works fine, but did not have HDMI capability. I wanted to have good sound quality when viewing and listening to tv programs or DVDs/Blurays featuring music. This receiver fit in perfectly with my existing equipment (speakers, tv, bluray). The sound is excellent. The radio tuner actually works better than the tuner in the old receiver. It was very easy to set up, and I was pleased with the automatic speaker calibration feature. Additionally, I can stream music from my iPad or phone through Bluetooth. I did extensive research comparing this product with similar receivers by Yamaha and Denon. In the end, I chose this one because of previous good experience with Onkyo and because it was on sale.

This unit has plenty of power for my room, which isn't huge, but isn't small either. I had a Denon home theater amplifier that was impossibly difficult to set up. This one was relatively easy. On top of all that, the price was lower than competing brands that had the same capability. Passing 4k through HDMI was my key concern, and this unit does it well. I'd give it 5 stars if it was even easier to set up.

I love this receiver. Currently just have it hooked up to two large stereo speakers to the left and right with one center speaker. Plan to get a sub soon. Base is great on them already though, i'be only went to 4+ out of ten or my roommstarts to shake. This is one of those pinch me items that I continually can't believe I am lucky enough to own. Booming base amazing surround and so FEATURE rich. I have Polk audio speakers plugged into the amp and they've never sounded better. Even compared to my Sony amp. I use this primarily for home entertainment and gaming. Crisp sound and the subwoofer sounds amazing with no distortion. Whole system is easy to use with a well designed remote and intuitive controls. Blue tooth is awesome too. Love playing music from my cell too.

The Onkyo AVR TX-353 is fantastic and wow does it sound great. Great sound and easy to use once you get use to it. Remote control is easy to use and makes it easy to control the sound or source. I did notice a big improvement in my TV picture. Now i receive full 1080 which i only got 720 using my comcast cable HD box. A big suprise. Unit has so many features and set ups to max the sound. The system will allow you to adjust each of the speakers for volume/balance needs same for the sub. The ACCU- EQ system took seconds and was spot on. Also found a feature called SUPER BASS on/off. I recommend to use. There is an Onkyo Advanced Operating Instructions searching google which goes step by step for setup and feature explanations. If you are looking for a easy to use, great sound, and future proof...pick one up. You will be happy and wow the sound is amazing.

For a sub $300 Receiver there is absolutely nothing bad I can say about this receiver. full 4K HDR compatibility and Bluetooth. Powers all speakers perfectly with ample power and clarity. all I need and more. If I had to add one thing it would be the ability to scroll through inputs with the remote and change the input names from their given names. This did not effect my rating as I gladly gave this receiver 5 stars after 2 months of use

For the price this receiver is outstanding with a lot of great features. The blue tooth sync is great for any type of listening. It delivers some great sound and very easy to use.

I was just looking for a decent basic receiver in my living room for music only. This one was on sale a couple of weeks ago so I grabbed it. I knew that whatever I purchased would probably be abused by the other family members. I connected it to some Yamaha bookshelf speakers. It sounds pretty good. I used it with some MP3s I had on a USB drive, my only issue with that was that it does not categorize by albums; you cannot skip from album to album. Instead you have to go through all the songs to reach the exact one you want to play. You can sort randomly if you wish. Not sure of the volume scale the volume dial is digital; so it goes from 0 to who knows? I'm not going to bust my speakers trying to find out. Played it at a substantial volume for a couple of hours and it didn't even get warm or distort. Radio reception is clear. All in all a lot of features, probably many I'll never use. Worth the money.

This receiver does everything I need it to do , replaced an old Onkyo that stopped working, has enough HDMI inputs and sounds great. Great price and free shipping. It would be nice if you could adjust sound levels manually like the old unit.

I decided on the Onkyo - 700W 5.1-Ch. 4K Ultra HD and 3D Pass-Through A/V Home Theater Receiver - Black after reviewing a few home audio receivers on-line. So far so good! Great value for the price. This is perfect for our living room. If you are looking for a system that will raise the roof, then this may not be the one for you. But for the normal movie\tv show sound, it more than does the job. Has pass-through so you can run all your components through the receiver, even HDMI.

I purchased a 4K display and was planning to purchase a 4K blu ray player to complete my existing home theater setup. Before purchasing the 4K player, I had to update my receiver that supported 4K pass through. I already had an Onkyo (home theater in a box) receiver and its done me very well and decided to get the same brand because its done nothing to make me consider getting a different brand. I saw this model on sale at Best Buy and decided to give it a go. Set up was easy and it literally was plug and play and I was off to the races. After picking up this receiver, it was time to get my 4K player. Once I hooked up my new 4K blu ray player, the 4K play back wasn't working through the receiver. After some troubleshooting, I found that there was a 4K setting that I had to turn on within the receiver (receiver instructions were not quite clear but i figured it out). Once I adjusted that setting, I was a happy camper seeing that all 3 of my Best Buy purchases (display, receiver, and 4K player) were running in sync and in harmony!!! Picture quality did not change versus when the 4K player was hooked up to my 4K display directly. Great 4K receiver! Onkyo for life, Son! BOOM!!!!

The only issue is SD DVD doesn't have an HDMI cable port. Gotta either run it separately to monitor or from Reciever out via a composite video "monitor" port. No way to receive component video from the DVD player. Can cheat and get a Composite to HDMI adaptor and use the BD/DVD port. Build your home cinema system around this Onkyo 5.1-channel A/V receiver.
