The Razer Blackshark V2 Pro for PS5 offers a premium gaming experience with its blend of comfort, audio quality, and convenience. I have a wildly large head (like, been turned away from go kart tracks because they don’t have a helmet big enough, head) and the headset remains exceptionally comfortable during extended gaming sessions, thanks to its thoughtful design. The sound quality is robust and immersive, providing a full-bodied audio experience. One standout feature is the microphone quality, delivering crisp and clean communication during gaming sessions. With a quoted 70 hour battery life, I was impressed by its longevity, easily lasting through multiple days of 5-hour gaming sessions without needing a recharge. During all the time I did not once experience a drop or interruption in connection. Even with my PS5 being in a TV cabinet and my desktop pc being tucked under my desk. The USB-C charging is a much needed upgrade over the original model’s micro-usb, and the flexibility of both a wireless USB-C receiver and Bluetooth connectivity offers convenience for various setups across PS5, PC, and Switch platforms. However, there are some concerns regarding durability, notably the thin metal bars connecting the headband to the cups. This raises worries about potential breakage, even just from wear and tear. Additionally, the reliance on a mobile app for fine-tuning audio adjustments stinks but isn’t the worst thing in the world. Overall, the Razer Blackshark V2 Pro excels in providing a comfortable, high-quality gaming experience with very few drawbacks. While its durability and app dependency may raise some concerns, its performance and features make it a solid choice for all gamers. I have been using Razer PC products for quite some time and I have always liked the quality and features that they provide. This headset is another very good product that works well and is very comfortable. I look for certain features in a headset, including comfort, sound, ease of use, and a quality microphone with great clarity. This headset did well in all categories. I suggest using the online owner’s manual versus the gray on black manual that comes with the headset. I first attempted to connect to my PS5 using Bluetooth and it didn’t accept the connection. Upon further reading, the included USB-C fob is needed and then it connected easily. The volume did not impress me while using it with my PS5. While the quality is very good, it doesn’t get as loud as I would have expected. This was different when I’m connected to my mobile phone with a Bluetooth connection. The volume was much better with the phone. I appreciate the sound modes, which includes custom, gaming, movie, and music modes. I used the gaming mode with my PS5. The headset is very light and comfortable and I could wear it for a considerable period of time. I also used the headset to make a few phone calls, as I wanted to test the quality of the microphone. The sound was very good for the call and the clarity of my voice on the other end was also very good. I specifically asked if it had echos or a tinny sound and I was told that it was extremely clear. I tested the headset with my PC by using the Bluetooth connectivity and used it during a Microsoft Teams’ meeting with a television blaring in the background. I was told that my voice clarity was perfect and no background noises could be heard. This is a great headset for gaming and productivity purposes.

There's no option on the PS5 Pro or my PC to control the EQ. I have synapse installed with no luck.

Razer has become a brand to trust, and create quality gaming products. The BlackShark V2 Pro Wireless Gaming Headset for PS5 was no different, and of the amazing quality I’ve come to expect. Out of the well packaged box, you can immediately feel the quality of the BlackShark V2 Pro Wireless Gaming Headset. It was easy to setup and get plugged in and setup with my PS5. The feel on my head was comfortable, and adjustable to my needs. The noise cancellation is really where the BlackShark V2 Pro Wireless Gaming Headset for PS5 absolutely shines. I game in an environment at home where you can sometimes hear loud talking, or sounds from other TVs, but that is a thing of the past. I am able to fully immerse myself into the experience, and adjust the sound quality to my needs and environment. In game the other players are able to hear me loud, crisp and clear, and I am able to hear footsteps like never before. You can also remove the microphone if you want to just listen to music, or even Netflix. You will not regret getting the BlackShark V2 Pro Wireless Gaming Headset.

The Razer BlackShark V2 Pro is an amazing gaming headset for PS5 and also for PC. I have a hard time finding gaming headsets that I can wear for many hours, without fatigue or discomfort. I am so happy with how light this Razer headset feels on my head! It also does not press hard on my hears causing any discomfort, and the breathable ear cups make marathon gaming sessions so much more enjoyable! No sweaty ears when I am done playing, and no weird imprints on my head either! The sound quality is next level on these also! I can hear footsteps I did not hear before, and the sound effects in FPS games are crisp and intense! The battery life is another area that is so good, I literally charge these once and they run for days! Gone are the times when your battery dies mid-raid, sending your party into disarray and panic! I have enjoyed hours of music and movies on the Razer as well, and they sound excellent! Pros: USB-C, Comfortable, Excellent Sound Quality, Great Spatial Audio. Cons: Mic is good but could be a little better

The adjustable band allows for finding a comfortable fit. The detachable microphone is helpful for times when you just need to listen without broadcasting. Sound quality is very good overall. The ear cups do help isolate ambient noise, but there is no noise canceling feature and it would be a definite improvement to have. I compensated for the lack of noise canceling by increasing the volume which is poor hearing hygiene. The headset is Bluetooth compatible and allows you to pair it with your phone. There is an app you can download on your phone that lets you customize your sound settings. I tested with Hogwarts Legacy and a variety of music tracks from my phone. I found the presets to be adequate for most purposes with little difference between modes though I did prefer the game mode. In order to use this with PlayStation 5, you must plug in the accessory adapter to the PS5. Packaging was very clean, but this also made it easy to overlook the accessory adapter. The box did not explicitly list what was inside, in addition the instructions/setup sheet was not obviously placed and it initially seemed like I would be left to figure out setup blindly. If you try to pair the headset to PS5 via Bluetooth, it will not work as the PS5 will see the device but tell you it is incompatible. Plug in the adapter and everything works seamlessly. As long as you don’t need to plug in another USB-C device full time the adapter presents no issues. For PS5 users with a PS Portal, the headset does not work directly with the portal. However, if you are on your home network using a PS portal and have this headset on, you can get the audio as it is streaming from your PlayStation and just set the portal volume to zero

This Razer wireless headphone is a very nice and well built piece of kit. Out of the box it exudes a premium feel. The cloth cover the actual headphones feels soft and not "cheap" like a lot of others out there. The headband part doesn't feel flimsy or poorly made. Combined the two well made parts make wearing this headphone for long periods easy and comfortable. There is no excessive creaking to be heard if you adjust the headset or when removing or putting it on. Connecting to your PS5, or other bluetooth devices, is easy. The included adaptor when attached offers an even stronger and better sounding connection to your device. The one thing that hurts the headphones is the sound quality. It's not that these sound bad. They don't! But rather the sound feels lacking in certain respects. The basses are rather strong which makes explosions and the like sound fantastic. But when it comes to mids and highs this is where the headphones fall a bit flat. The microphone connection is handy. If you are one who does not voice chat while gaming or want these for just a listening only activity like music of videos it's nice to be able to ditch the mic then easily be able to reattach when needed. Of course the downside to that is you now have one more thing to keep track of. If you need something you can wear for hours at a time while gaming and sounds good at the same time then this is for you.

Great set of headphones that perform admirably for both PlayStation and PC. Started testing on the pc and enjoyed the profiles in Razer Synapse for various games. Probably the most useful piece is the ability for the headphones to muffle loud sounds and emphasize quiet sounds which helps pinpoint footsteps and other movement nearby. Fabric mesh ear pads are my preferred material because they breathe way better than leatherette. The clamping force is kinda high compared to others I’ve used but they feel like they’ll break in fairly well. Mic quality is good and everyone said I was perfectly clear. Testing on PlayStation everything worked well. Voice chat was clear and it made it enjoyable playing in bed while everyone else was sleeping. No major concerns using it with either system. Standard usb plug into usb-c that plugs into the headset. Would have appreciated a case just because I feel that’s more important with console systems but I had an extra one that it fit in fairly well. Overall recommend this headset!

Sound quality: good highs and lows, makes hearing footsteps in COD much easier to discern compared to the TV Comfort: soft foam ear cups sit comfortably around my ears, and I didn’t feel any pressure points even after extended playing times. One con though common to foam is they do get hot/sweaty. Some companies combat this by putting cooling elements into the ear cups, but it didn’t detract my from my playing. Connection: pairing with my PS5 was literally 2 steps. Plug in the Bluetooth adapter into slot, and then turn on the headset. Done. Pairing to my phone was also seamless, and my iPhone had zero issues finding, pairing, and staying connected to the headset. Accessories: not much to write home about here. The box comes with a usb-C cable, removable boom mic, and the Bluetooth dongle. The mic has a foam head cover and adjusts well. Overall: Solid matte touch headset with comfortable cups and a soft band. Solid sound quality and good connectivity. I never had any issues with lost connections either with my pS5 or my phone.

Very good headset very good sound I bought these for my ps5 the only thing I would say they press tight enough around your ears that you hear your own echo .
