Bought this to match my computer I bought from Best Buy and also wanted a good keyboard. Wasn't really able to find a store to try it out, which I highly recommend doing before buying. At first it feels a bit weird because the keys are pretty stiff and require a little extra force which made me miss letters a lot in the beginning but once you get use to how much force you need to apply per key stroke you don't really notice it and I kinda like it that way now. The clicks aren't very loud which is also a plus as I wanted a keyboard that wasn't as loud as the black widow.

This is an excellent keyboard for any use. It has function buttons that you can set up for whatever reason, and it includes a magnetic wrist rest that can be easily taken off if you'll like a more sleek look or more space in your desk. Grabbed this one while on sale and can definitely say it's worth it.

I just needed a backlit keyboard for working on Photoshop in a darkened room. This was on sale for $24.99 so I bought it. Nice keyboard with a lot of customizable features with the lights. Probably wouldn't have bought it if it wasn't on sale, since I was only wanting a lighted keyboard, but it is pretty cool.

I'm funny about how a keyboard "clicks" when typing. This has a perfect rebound. I also like the magnetic wrist rest that easily attaches to the front of the keyboard. The colors changing does not distract and while I initially thought I would set it to one color, I like looking down and seeing a different color every now and then!

Great clicky souds. ASMR AFFFFF. keys feel great too. very flat though, kinda like a mac keyboard, but mechanical/clicky version.Perfect for office or regular work. Gaming depends if you are okay with the flatter keys over a taller set that you can feel the keys register more. I would use it for RPG games that don't require crazy fast movement like COD or APEX.

Really nice overall. The keys have a decent ‘click’ sound to them. Thought they’d be quieter but it’s definitely noticeable. The magnetic wrist rest is not. Super soft to the touch, but not padded very thick. It’s also a bit wider so front to back with the wrist rest on, it covers a decent amount of space. Make sure to measure if you use a keyboard tray of any sort with your setup to ensure you have the space.

I bought this because I needed a backlight keyboard for my games but I do not like or use the programable keys that most gamer keyboards come with. I LOVE the fact that there are so many choices of colors and patterns to make the keyboard my own. The keys are easy to see and the wrist rest is very comfortable as well.

A comfortable keyboard with Razer Chroma support. It's clicky, it's got a soft wrist rest, and it has a numpad. That's all I need. I got it on sale for $30, which made it an insane deal. The most I'd personally spend for it would probably be $60.

It was on a discount and it has programmable key function but no dedicated keys which is OK for the price I just program like F6 or something. The colors are fun and helpful when you like a low light level.

I don't know all the technical stuff, but I know this was a great price/value for a combo type keyboard. Santa finally brought the kids a gaming PC and they upgraded to this keyboard with their own money. They said it is an awesome keyboard.

Keyboard is a piece of art. No, really bc of the light show. Lol Been looking to replace a crappy keyboard. I do a lot of typing; about 10hrs/day at 4x/wk. Figured I might as well invest in better build quality. I can definitely say that I truly love this keyboard. Vanity aside, it’s super functional. It’s a hybrid between membrane and mechanical. It’s tactile but not as loud (since I work in an office). The key caps are laser etched so it hasn’t “rubbed off” like those generic keyboards. This does make a difference if you type a lot. Had this keyboard for over a year now. It’s acted up a bit bc some keys will randomly change color. This issue was mentioned in previous reviews. However, I just unplug the USB, wait a minute or so, then replug it back in. No other issue aside from this. Oh yeah, and the wrist pad is magnetic and super comfy. Not sure how I’m going to find a replacement for this once it’s worn out. Meh.

Razer keyboard keys are sturdy and easy to read in low or no light atmosphere. The changing display of chroma colors is a fun touch to our desktop. Wrist pad included with the tilting keyboard makes typing very comfortable. Had the keyboard for about 1 month with no issues.

I was intrigued by the Mecha-Membrane key switches offered on this Razer Ornata Chroma Wired Gaming Keyboard with RGB Back Lighting. First, I'm not a gamer. I do a lot of typing and I'm very particular about the keyboards I use. I prefer the high-end, mechanical keyboards for their superior quality and feel. My favorite key switches are either the clicky keys like the Cherry MX blues or Logitech's newer GX blues, or the smooth switches like the Cherry MX reds. This keyboard was said to be a clicky keyboard with a good tactile feel but with a membrane below to soften the keystrokes (i.e., how hard your fingers land on the downstroke). It delivered on both promises. The clicky tactile feedback was modest and not overly noisy as some clicky keys are. The rubber dome membrane softened the hard landing of each keystroke for a very pleasant experience. This may not be an issue with gamers, but for older people who do a lot of typing and may have issues with arthritis in their fingers, this soft-landing key combo is a dream come true. The keys are a standard spacing but the tops of the key caps are a bit narrower (more on that in a bit) so people with large fingers may not find this the best fit for them. Lighting: This keyboard features the ubiquitous RGB lighting that is so in vogue among gaming enthusiasts and you certainly won't be disappointed with this selection. You have to download and install Razer's Synapse gaming software to have control over the lighting selections. The letters and numbers on the keys are rather small compared to most of the backlit keyboards I've used. That means that the amount of backlighting that comes through these tiny characters is minimal at best. The shifted special characters on the number row and in the punctuation keys in the lower right portion of the keyboard are not backlit at all. In a dark room, if you don't have these special characters committed to memory, you have no hope of finding them by sight. The real lighting display comes from the rather excessive space between and around the keys. That, apparently, is why Razer designed the keys themselves to be a bit more narrow. It's so their light show can really shine brightly all around the keys. However, this is a problem if you actually need to see the lighted character or number on top of the key because so much of this light bleeds up and around the sides of the keys it makes it hard to see the character you are looking for. That's not such an issue for a touch typist, but if you have to occasionally hunt and peck at your keys, good luck. Not what I want in a lighted keyboard. The kicker here that helped this otherwise capable and enjoyable keyboard earn a 3 stars rating from me is that I recently read an announcement from Razer that their Synapse software had a major security flaw in it and they were working on a fix. That would be the very support software that you MUST install to be able to access the controls for this keyboard and lighting. That did it for me. I packed this keyboard up and returned it to Best Buy. Perhaps by the time you read this Razer will have worked out that security flaw. You might want to contact them to find out before making a purchase.

Just wanted to jump on this deal and was ready for a new keyboard. Love the lights. You will need the program to be able to change the light colors and speed. I like it how it comes though. nice click sound and smooth buttons.
