Added a second Ring Keypad to the Master Bedroom. Very happy that we did.

Keeps disconnecting. Needs an instant alarm as well as a shorter time. Had to reinstall 2 times already for hiccups and errors not properly working. Get a warranty is my best advice.

Ring products suck! Don't get me wrong. They work great when they do work at all. However, almost all of them die quickly. This keypad purchase was #3. It worked perfectly, without any problems, and one day it simply went offline. Charging it wouldn't help. Plugging it in did nothing. This is the same story with several cameras, doorbell cams, and sensors.

Need all parts to work!

You need all the parts for this to work. I didn’t realize that you need the base station.
Thank you for expressing your concerns about your Ring Alarm Keypad (2nd Gen). This keypad is intended to be used along with the rest of our Ring Alarm System. Like other security systems, this keypad allows you to enter a numerical code to arm or disarm your Ring Alarm System. Rest assured, we are here to shed some light on the subject.
In order for you to properly set up a Ring Alarm System, you'll need a Ring Base Station and Ring Alarm Keypad. Of course, we offer an array of sensors to level up your home security experience. For example, you can purchase door/window contact sensors, motion detection sensors, flood/freeze sensors etc.
For those new to Ring Alarm, we recommend starting with one of our Ring Alarm Security Kits. The 5-piece kit includes:
1 Base Station 1 Keypad 1 Contact Sensor 1 Motion Detector 1 Range Extender
