Poor stand and average graphics quality make this only a fair choice.

I bought this monitor for my wife. When you boot up it says you need to register the device or it will be a black screen. Went to the Samsung website and got her an account. It doesn't recognize the model number and the website is down to registering it. To think I was thinking about getting myself a 4K monitor Samsung won't happen and probably never get anything from Samsung again. Never heard of you having to register anything to get it to work. Can't tell you if the product is good if you can't get it to work.

This is a nice, reliable item. However, you can get a higher resolution for the same price now that I purchased this for.

Samsung - 27" Odyssey G40B FHD IPS 240Hz 1ms G-Sync Gaming Monitor – Black I have to say, I truly love this FHD monitor! As you can see from the description above, the specs are great. This monitor replaces a good spec’d HP gaming monitor. However, this one, in comparison, leaves my former one in the dust. Response time is wonderful at only 1ms, and with 240Hz this baby shows no lag in any way. With both adaptive G-Sync and AMD FreeSync, you’re synchronized between your monitor and GPU to avoid choppiness, image tears or screen lag, and it uses the correct one automatically whether you have an Intel or AMD setup. My previous gaming monitor was 24”, which has been the standard for gaming for a long time. But I’ve found that the 27” Samsung is the perfect size – you can “see” your total screen without moving your head at all or your eyes very much. I have a 32” monitor I’ve used for gaming, but it’s too large in that you have to move your eyes a lot, and even your head sometimes, to keep up with what’s going on in your game with the larger screen. Having a 27” gaming monitor also allows the objects on the screen to be a little larger (definitely noticeable from the 24” to the 27”), which is helpful in identifying objects more quickly. It also offers the option of a 21:9 ratio for an extra wide view should that be helpful to you. The Samsung 27” Odyssey G40B has HDR (High Dynamic Range), which means that, in short, it allows for improved brightness and color accuracy. The whites are whiter, and the blacks are blacker with the range of colors increased thus allowing more detail in the colors. What does all this mean? Simply that the screen has a clearer image bordering on the feel of a higher resolution. This is my impression comparing my 24” gaming monitor without HDR and the Samsung Odyssey with HDR. The Odyssey also detects when connected devices are turned on switching to the new signal automatically. Of course, you can swivel, tilt, and adjust the height of the monitor to your liking. The screen bezels are thin. It has 2 HDMI ports, 1 DisplayPort (DP), power port, and an audio-out port. As I said at the beginning, I love this monitor!

The monitor melted the HDMI cable causing it to break off. I couldn’t remove the burnt part from the HDMI port to replace the cable so just tossed it. Purchased this 5 months ago. It wasn’t used much so I’m confused to actually what happened. Thankful it didn’t start a fire.

Good monitor for one player shooting games really like the graphics and the speed of the monitor's movement.

The monitor was broken, tried to return it to my surprise the manager said the box did not match the monitors barcode. I’ve been a best buy customer for a very long time, I feel they basically accused me of swapping out the product. Never will I buy from this store again. Beware future customers!

Broke after a couple months and now screwed out of a monitor

Love it! Great value for the cost. I couldn't have asked for much more from a budget friendly monitor.

The quick and dirty with this monitor is that, for the money, it is excellent. There are a few cons, but I'll get to that in a minute. First.... What's in the box: The monitor itself, stand, power brick, HDMI cable, Display Port cable and a quick start guide. Setup: For the basics, not much to it. You set up the stand, plug in the power and the video source. The stand is very nice for the price point. To be honest though, I didn't use it because I have built in VERSA stands on my desk (which this monitor can use). The stand is nice though, a good heft and and adjust in many directions. Nice touch. The rest of the setup depends, really, on what you're using to feed video. Most of the setup is going to be on your computer or gaming device. You can adjust picture levels such as brightness, color, sharpness, etc on the monitor itself. It has the typical Samsung monitor adjustment GUI, which is finicky until you get used to it. Picture quality: VERY good. The colors, brightness and refresh rate are great. This monitor is only 1080P though, so keep that in mind. With that being said, the refresh rate is huge. I didn't realize what a difference 240hz makes! I don't really notice picture tearing anymore. This does support free sync/G-Sync if you have a compatible video card. Cons: No speakers, even though it looks like there are some built in. There is a volume setting in the menu; however, this is for the volume of headphones connected and it just acts as a passthrough to external speakers. The bezel is quite large, especially at the bottom for things that I cannot figure out what they are. Only 1080P, but for this price, thats not surprising. Overall: I like this monitor, and the picture is very good. Except for the cons noted above, for the price, you can't really beat it.

Got this as an early Christmas present for a friend. He doesn’t have any complaints with it.

My son loves his monitor. It is so clear with his xbox x and it is beyte in his eyes too

Nice monitor. Brightness resets every time when drivers updated. NO SUPPORT page on US website, You cant even find it by model number. Firmware preinstalled is 10008, but all you can download is 10006 version.

Black lighting really ruined the experience.not worth 500$

Ordered online says it was delivered by shipt and it wasn't there contacted them asap after they were of no help wouldn't replace the item even though i was told over the phone they would if i went in so i was left with a bill with no monitor will not recommend those company to anybody
