This monitor has been a fantastic addition to my setup. The picture quality is crisp and vibrant, with colors that really pop and great contrast. Whether I’m gaming, watching videos, or working, everything looks sharp and clear. The refresh rate is smooth, and I haven’t noticed any ghosting or blur during fast‑paced gameplay — which makes a big difference in competitive games. The build and stand feel solid, and adjusting the tilt/height is easy so I can get the perfect viewing angle. Setup was quick and simple, and it works seamlessly with both PC and console. Overall, this monitor gives excellent performance for the price and has definitely improved my experience compared to my old screen.

Got this on sale and its great! 180hz refresh rate is more than enough for what i need and resolution is in 2k which looks more than good for this size screen. Colors pop and blacks are deep black. This also has a special feature where it works with NVIDIA or AMD to sync to ensure smooth gameplay. Overall a great monitor whether on sale or not.

I’ve been using the Samsung Odyssey G5 for a while now, and overall it’s a solid gaming monitor for the price. The 27-inch flat screen looks super clean, and the 1440p resolution with a 165Hz refresh rate makes games look really sharp and smooth. The colors are decent, and the contrast is nice thanks to the VA panel, so darker scenes look pretty good. It handles most games really well, though there can be a bit of motion blur in really fast games. The stand is basic — it only tilts and doesn’t move up or down — and the build quality feels a bit light, but it’s fine once it’s on your desk. The HDR isn’t anything crazy since it doesn’t get that bright, but it still adds a little more life to the picture. Overall, the G5 is a great pick if you want a flat 1440p monitor with high refresh rates without spending a lot. It’s not perfect, but it’s definitely worth it for the price.

This monitor should be good for most gaming. It is excellent for my purposes. It is priced in line with its competitors. The stand is solid and well designed. I purchased it at less through Best Buy and free comfortable with my purchase.

The monitor is good for compatibility if you wanna have a 2 monitor setup. But playing game on it isn’t really all that great. It’s a good monitor but the refresh rate and overall Performance isn’t recommended for high status shooter games.

I needed a new monitor in a pinch, and Best Buy came through! The Samsung Odyssey G50D was a perfect upgrade from my broken DELL monitor, and with better colors and 25Hz extra in the refresh rate. Right out of the box, this was easy to calibrate and I do enjoy how the bezel matches my LG 4K Monitor. The base for this is a bit hefty, but since I primarily use monitor arms, I safely stored the monitor stand in the original packaging.

So far so good . The monitor is beautiful and graphics are clean. I can run all my games and streaming with ease ! My only wish is that it had built in speakers , but u wont complain .

The build quality is impressive—you can easily raise or lower the screen, tilt it side to side, and even rotate it vertically. The settings are simple to customize, and cable management is a breeze thanks to the included strap. The base is also great if you use magnetic accessories; your device will securely attach if you need to set your phone down. For connectivity, you get one DisplayPort, one HDMI port, and a headphone jack for convenience. Overall, I’m very happy with this purchase, especially since I snagged it at a great sale price.

Great monitor is just wide enough in resolution to have work not need a second monitor. Color representation is good. Works great when gaming as well

The Samsung G5 is a great entry way into 1440p gaming! The 1440p looks great if you want that added sharpness (especially if you sit very close) and thats the main reason why i got this. As for the unboxing experience everything was really simple and easy to set up. I was surprised that out the box i only had to tweak the colors only ever so slightly. I have no defects or any quality issues with this monitor! At 180hz its also plenty smooth though response times are not the greatest. All in all im super happy with it and hoping it lasts me many years! My brother has a G4 which has worked without any problems, so it made me confident going with Samsung.

I’ve been using this monitor as my main display at home, and it has been a great purchase. For the price, it’s an excellent monitor with good picture quality and versatility. Setting it up was very easy—just plug and play. It fits well on a small table, making it a great option for limited spaces. One of the best features is that you can use it both horizontally and vertically, depending on your needs. Overall, I’m very satisfied with this monitor and would definitely buy it again! Would have like inbuilt speakers.

This is a great gaming monitor. Be sure to use a displayport cable if you want the full speed refresh rate. It takes a little bit of tweaking for HDR gaming, and once set, it looks great. It's awesome for first person shooters because of the fast motion, hardly any motion blur. But for slower moving games, you can definitely see the aliasing on the edges because of the 1440p resolution. The resolution is really not a problem for such a small screen, but I also have a 4K monitor and it is much crisper. Overall I'm very happy with this monitor, I also got one for my kid running an RTX 3000 series video card. He's pretty happy.

I won't sit here and pretend to be a monitor expert. I'm sure you can find lots of thorough reviews deep diving into the specs and offerings and how they compare to other competing offerings. For what it's worth, though, my experience with this monitor has been excellent so far. I have two monitors in my setup so I bought 2 of these to finally have a matching set and the picture quality is great on both. Plus, the stand the monitor comes with has a lot of adjustability options for height and angle. One piece of advice I will pass on to anyone who is like me and this is their first monitor with a resolution above HD: do not pair a 2K monitor with a regular HD monitor in the same setup. I tried and it was extremely jarring to look between the two. So if you have two HD monitors in your setup and you're looking to upgrade one of them to this 2K monitor, I recommend upgrading them both at the same time to maintain the same resolution between displays.
