We have now had 2 of these TVs die, one in 6 weeks, one in 2 months. Now if you google it the S90D series has a known “early power failure”. Wish I would’ve known sooner

I have generally had good luck with Samsung but we purchased this one in NOV and within 1 month of installation it completely died. Took Best Buy/Geek Squad another month to come to take a look at it and confirm. Then they finally came back in FEB with a replacement but it was severely damaged out of the box so they had to take it back. Still waiting for a replacement.

I bought this TV right before the Super Bowl. I was very happy and pleased with the fantastic image quality, but suddenly, the TV died; it wouldn't turn back on. Now, after reading more reviews, I realize that this problem happens very often with Samsung TVs; I plan to return it tomorrow and I will look at Sony or LG options.

Do Not Buy! Bought this to watch while recovering from an upcoming shoulder surgery. TV died 17 days after purchase. Best Buy will only take returns after 15 days so I had to deal directly with Samsung. Been waiting for over 2 weeks for parts to be shipped to local repair tech. Had surgery and now I will have to pay someone to reinstall on wall once it is fixed. Horrible customer service from Best Buy. Can't talk to anyone at local store on the phone. Next time I'll buy from Amazon. Customer service is much better.

Purchased this and the motherboard went out within 4 months of usage. Best Buy was absolutly no help and all. We had to pay someone to remove it from the wall so Samsung repair person could access the panel. Samsung was great to work with very responsive and checked in regularly for progress. They sent out a great tech who even assisted us in putting it back up. We have not had any probems since it was repaired but will not buy from this store again.

WARNING: Samsung has been horrible from a customer service perspective since we bought it 3 months ago. The TV stopped working suddenly & after having service people come once, it stopped working again six days later. The service guy came again and said he needed a new part and we have been waiting for weeks with a broken TV. They were supposed to come today & called this AM with the window “but might be there earlier”. We told them we’d be available for the window they told us but have to work so won’t be available outside of it. At that point the service person started screaming at us and hung up. Then did not show up during the window. I’ve called customer service and Samsung and they keep telling me they can’t do anything because the Service technician (that they use and set up the fix with) still has the ticket number open. They do absolutely nothing to help. The department shouldn’t be called customer service because they’ve done absolutely nothing to help in the whole
Process. I wish I never bought this TV. I’ll never buy a Samsung product again and I encourage anybody reading this to get a different TV. You don’t want to be in this mess like we are.

Don’t ever buy purchase the 77 inch Samsung TV within the month. There was no more power to the TV I paid for the protection plan from Best Buy. They replaced it with the exact same TV now month and a half later same exact problem and now Best Buy protection plan means nothing cause now I have to go through Samsung. Don’t buy this TV.

Better off buying from someone on the street. A random person has more morals and integrity than the employees at Best Buy. They hide behind a corporate logo to act immoral. Best Buy purposely sold me an open box tv in excellent like new condition that they no was not in working order. Obvious return when opened. The previous customer had put an envelope sticker on the back of tv with purchase date of July 2024 written on it. . I bought this tv in April 2025. I bought TV on Best Buy’s website. Drive an hour an half after borrowing a friends truck an hour and a half home to pick up a product that the staff new full well was broken. They didn’t care. Horrible ppl. They knew what they were doing. It’s no longer their problem after they sell it to me. Took a week and a half to return for full refund. Way to waste so many ppls time and money so you can save a couple dollars yourselves. Best Buy is a bankrupt company that finally needs to go away.
