I’ve been using the screen for about a month now and it is effective at replacing my old two screen set up. The quality is good, and the options it comes with fit the most general needs. There are some downsides that I don’t believe are deal breakers but warrant a 4/5 star rating. First, the base takes up a lot of desk space. If you have a standard desk be ready to need an upgrade because most likely this screen will require a significant amount of desk real estate. You might be able to mitigate this by using a heavy duty desk monitor attachment but for most people I surmise this screen will be rather big for their desks. Secondly, the native driver for the screen to allow custom screen splitting provided by Samsung is pretty buggy. Not the most user friendly piece of software. Along the same lines, the native menu that is accessed through the screen directly is a bit of a nuisance to use. I wish there was a way to control the setting via the driver software but as far as I can tell this is not the case. All in all, I’m happy with my purchase. I did need to upgrade my desk and I’m looking for a heavy duty desk monitor attachment that will hopefully solve the issue with the large base. I’d recommend with the above issues in mind.

Using since 2022. Switched from 2 large monitors. Work from home reading scanned documents 8 hours a day. Very easily to move between pages and programs. I had set up a second monitor but rarely use it now. I have gotten used to using one large monitor with several programs running.

While a decent productivity monitor it's performance suffers from still spotty gaming support for the super ultrawide aspect ratio. HDR is barely up to spec just to get the certification. When it works it works and it's a beautiful monitor but the lack of support for the ratio and the fact that it is 1080p are it's major downsides.

I had this screen for a while, It is really good. The only downside of this screen are the following: no speakers if you move a lot, its heavy to move it. whenever you are switching between screens, it might be slow. it is a little hard to set up the speakers sometimes (you need to buy your won)

This monitor is a mammoth, but it's so worth it. It completely fills your field of vision and is equally efficient for productivity, video/photo editing, or completely immersing yourself into media. The HDR isn't the greatest on the market, but the colors still pop, and the versatility of this monitor cannot be understated. Highly recommended! Just be aware it needs a lot of space!

It pays to have a warranty. My screen got damaged during a move. Because I had a warranty, I was able to get a replacement with no questions asked. A representative took time to help me find something of equal value since they did not have the exact model in the store.

I bought this monitor because it was on a great deal! Kept it in the box hoping to open it up for Christmas. Unfortunately I had to return it because it wasn’t 5120 x 1440 version (my fault). So another store had a great deal on 5120 x 1440 about $150 more but it was worth it! The screen is beautiful, the curve is amazing and I don’t have to look at bezels between two screens. I use this monitor primarily for productivity, I usually have my code editor up, web application on the side, with room for email and other windows. I also do some gaming on the side literally via PBP mode. I hooked up my Audioengine speakers to it and the experience is truly amazing! I can’t still work on 27” while the other half is used for gaming. Would have left a 5 star review it was the 5120x1440 version! Other than that great monitor!

You know what you're purchasing and you hopefully have a reason why. You somehow cram the thing in your car and it dawns on you that this is much bigger than you expected. You start to assemble it and you realize you need two people to safely extract it from the box. What have you gotten yourself into? Finally after an hour or two of messing with windows display settings, the insane aspect ratio is correct and you realize the full glory of the CHG90. You have to fully move your head to view both ends of the screen. My takeaway, it's extremely high quality and built like a Gucci bag. But it is not easy to get Windows 10 to display it properly and you might have to spend some time swapping cables (I suggest the included mini DP) and fussing with settings. It's extremely expensive for a monitor, although it is the best value for a true hyper-wide display out there. I wouldn't buy it unless you have very specific plans for it. If you just want a big curved monitor, get a TV. I have it to avoid having two 27" monitors with the awful gap in between. It's great for productivity. I regret that I haven't yet had a chance to let it rip on a game yet. I suspect it will be amazing.

So far so good. Pretty impressive actually. Before buying, make sure that you can accommodate this huge monitor. Mine was open box item shipped to my place, so it did not come with the manual or any other guidelines. Also, I have not yet figure out how to use the in-built speakers.

I bought this monitor as an Open Box item and was told that if I had any issues, they would treat it like a new purchase. Well, would you know I had a problem with it within the first few days of using it. When my Win 10 Home PC would come out of sleep mode, the screen would look like someone had dropped or struck the monitor (a weird looking picture). The only way to get the picture back was to unplug the power. Now, this would only happen every 1 out of 7 times (recovering from sleep). When I took it back (well within the return period, they would not replace it or repair it. I could pay the difference for a new one or get my money back. Poor customer service and I spent over $3000 on this same purchase at the store (on other items). I stopped shopping at the store a while ago and do all my shopping online. Then I found a couple of deals while in the store and thought, hey why not. Now I know better. The purchased new monitor (same model) works great and I love it. Thus the reason I paid the difference. Back to online shopping for me.

I changed out two 27" monitors for this one. I use it mainly for work. Excel files are my favorite, they can get extremely wide and it's not a problem for this beast. Only issues; 1. It's heavy, and 2. It could use a couple more inches of height adjustment. 3. A little expensive, even for Black Friday.

Stunning! It's wonderful to have 2 full large monitors in 1 screen. Also, it makes me doubletake every time I catch a glimpse of it. The downsides? It costs more than 2 separate monitors; It takes up a lot of room on the desktop. Otherwise, I have no complaints.

I'm not a gamer, had two HP monitors that I had been using for a WFH set up, but one of them went bad and replacing it would have cost me $300 for an identical one. So I went balls to the wall and got one of these! I do not regret the purchase. Using this has been so much better for my work productivity being able to use every inch of this puppy to spread out my work. Make sure you get the extended Geek Squad protection on this. When I'm not working, I have this hooked up to a M1 Mac Mini as my daily driver and it works great. Also, if desk space is an issue, the base that holds this up is massive and takes up a lot of space. If you have a strong enough desktop, I would suggest picking up an Ergotron HX monitor arm with the Heavy Duty Pivot, it'll save lots of space.

    Hudge

Bought this for my son's birthday gift. He hooked it up and loved that you could literally set up like 6 screens in one monitor, so multi tasking was great. You could be watching a youtube video on one screen doing a term paper on one screen doing research on another screen and so on. The problem he ran into and the only reason we took it back was because it's not game friendly. It's not set up for the correct aspect ratio for playing a single game. So if you went to play say world of tanks yes the tanks were hudge but stretched out so they looked goofy. If I remember correctly my son said he was only able to get one game to work were it used the full screen and looked fine and it was called overwatch. He tried everything up to and including calling the companys tech support and they explained to him that there was no settings he could just click to make it work and the sole perpous of this was gaming for him. If you due decide to get it be warned you will need two people to lift it, not because of being to heavy and it is heavy it's just very awkward to lift because of the size and because its curved in.

I bought this more or less on impulse for Christmas, and wasn't quite sure what to expect. The short version: bright, vibrant colors; ultra-sharp image; in short, everything you'd expect from a Samsung product. It was my first curved monitor, but replacing two single monitors the ultra-wide aspect ratio was quite nice. I don't know how many games will be able to support the 32:9 aspect ratio, but from trying a few that did, this is a MUST HAVE for gamers. Unfortunately, I had to return it after a few days--while the gaming experience was superb, I actually bought it for use in media development, and the day-to-day experience wasn't quite what I needed. Splitting one 32:9 monitor into two 16:9 monitors isn't as easy as I thought it would be--there's a program called Easy Settings Box that creates a grid for apps to "snap" to (and which includes a dual 16:9 mode), but the drawback is that it only resizes apps to take up the 16:9 space, leaves empty space around the edges--apps like Media Player still take up the whole 32:9 space in fullscreen mode.

Due to its size, this monitor is a conversation starter for anyone that walks into your study or bedroom. It has been great for gaming on such applications as: World of Tanks, League of Legends, World of Warcraft, and Path of Exile because the games are compatible with the widescreen and give you a greater field of vision than the competition. Unfortunately, after 2 years of owning this product it did start to malfunction to the point where I had to use my Geek Squad Product Replacement service. The monitor would have lines displayed across the screen for up to 30 minutes when turned on. When it came time to choose a replacement, I actually went with the same exact monitor, so I guess I still stand behind it. I did re-purchase a new product replacement warranty just in case.
