While it’s great to hear that you’re loving the performance of your T7 Shield SSD, I’m very sorry to hear of the difficulties you experienced with connecting to your Motorola phone.
The SSD might be formatted in NTFS or exFAT, which some Motorola phones cannot read. Please reformat the SSD to exFAT (most compatible with Android) using your computer. Older or budget Motorola phones may not support external SSDs. Please check if your phone supports USB OTG and external storage mounting. Also, be sure to use a USB-C to USB-C cable that supports USB 3.1 Gen 2 or higher.

Quality construction but has some performance slowdown on large file transfers. It became too slow to transfer large files over 300GB. It would perform in the 2-400MB range until about 300GB in, then it would slow down to 15-25MB per second. Ultimately i couldnt use it to securely ship data to my data center.

Easy setup. Feels solid. Nice rhat it has USB B and C cables. Can be password protected.

Pretty good but the app do not detect the SSD when I connected it to my smartphone. I have tried with other phones but it is always the same, SSD is not detected.
I’m sorry to hear that your out-of-box experience fell short of your expectations.
The T7 Shield may not be compatible with all devices but is compatible with Android devices using USB-C.

I have the touch version of this and have always wanted something a bit more rugged. I dont have to worry of a Monster Energy explodes in my work bag - worth every penny.

As good or better than the original T7. But the rubbery coating makes it less slippery and durable. Works great for my use as external PS4/5 extended storage.
