    We are truly enjoying our new Sony OLED and I’m near certain that it will serve us well for many years. Our last set of Bravia TV are still going strong and we gifted them to family . I have been and I expect to be a continued SONY fan! We highly recommend their products.

    My 1st OLED tv

    I have wantsd an OLED tv for a few years now. Our samsung tv went out after 6 years and it was time to purchase a bigger better tv! The blacks are so dark i cant believe it. I also havero say the setup was super easy. I also purchansed a so y soundbar to it and they both pair very well.

    Sony, Bravia 8 freezing

    Originally I was going to give this tv 5 stars because the picture is incredible, until I updated the software. Now it constantly freezes and it’s not cool right in the middle of a football game or a movie. For as expensive as it was this should not be a problem. Come on Sony, you can do better than this!

      We're glad that you like the picture quality of the TV. It's unfortunate that the TV freezes after updating the software. Sony's commitment to customer satisfaction is our top priority. Performing a power reset may resolve this issue if it's caused by a temporary malfunction:

      -Unplug the TV power cord from the wall outlet (or from the back of the TV or power adapter if the power cord is detachable and accessible), wait two minutes, then plug the power cord back in.

      Note: If your TV power cord is completely inaccessible, you may be able to disconnect the power by temporarily turning off the circuit breaker switch to the power outlet used by your TV.

      Check if any devices connected to your TV are causing an issue (such as a malfunctioning device or a data communication issue):

      -Turn off the TV.
      -Disconnect all devices (including any external USB devices, hard drives, and all HDMI-connected devices) from the TV.
      -Turn on the TV and check if the issue goes away (which means the TV is not the cause). If the TV is working, continue with the steps to help identify the cause.
      -Reconnect your devices one at a time to your TV, testing the TV after connecting each device.
      -If the freezing happens after a certain device is connected, check that device for an issue.

      If not resolved, perform a factory reset:

      1. On the supplied remote control, press the (Quick Settings) button or HOME button depending on your TV.
      2. Select Settings.
      3. Select System → About → Reset → Factory data reset → Erase everything → Yes.

    PLEASE SAVE YOUR MONEY.

    I spent weeks researching tvs. I’d finally narrowed it down to the Sony Bravia 8 and the Samsung S90. Despite the higher price tag and the lack of HDMI 2.1 ports (2 vs Samsung’s 4), I went with the Sony because I have a PS5 and the integrated features were too good to pass up. Boy was I wrong. Let me start by saying I’m VERY tech savvy. I’ve had this tv for a little over 24hrs and have already had to reset it to factory settings THREE TIMES. After setting it up, the tv will just refuse to switch to any HDMI connected device. The screen would flash black as if it were trying to switch and then it’d go right back to the home screen. I tried everything from switching cables to cycling the devices to cycling the tv, updating the software, and many more. Nothing worked except factory resetting it. Finally I was certain that there must be a setting that I’m enabling during setup process that isn’t agreeing with my devices. But ALL of my devices?! With each reset, I would enable less and less features/settings as I tried to narrow down what might be causing it. Nothing worked. I called customer service tech support and they too were baffled. I was told that it’s likely some kind of software fault or failure but to be sure, they had to escalate my case to their higher tier support. They gave my a ticket number and said someone would call me back. This is all too much trouble and headache to have to deal with on a brand new tv. I’m returning it in favor of the S90. Oh, and the screen is way too dark as well. I’m familiar with OLED, as this is my 4th, and none are nearly this dark. I’m over it!

    Sony Bravia 8 77”

    TV has been great and better than expected. Went in for a Bravia 7 and ended up with Bravia 8 after seeing the 2 TVs right next to each other playing the same exact content. Bravia 7 was nice but the 8 was just better.

    I went in for a cheap tv for our movie room and with the help of a great sales team I walked out with a brand new Sony OLed. We are so happy with the choice we made.
