This is my 3rd Sony TV. I have a 65 and 75 inch version of the 900 or 90 as it is now. I love both of those TVs. I had the 75 inch setup in my basement theater room. I ordered the 85 inch 90k and then changed my mind and got the A80k 77 inch model. At first I was second guessing myself because I wanted the massive 85 inch and I loved the 900 model. Well Im def satisfied with my choice. I watch in a dark room and this TV is plenty bright!!! The contrast with the black levels is amazing!!! I have not even messed with calibrating it yet and its amazing out of the box! Was just watching season 3 of Jack Ryan today and I was blown away by the picture!! Dont get me wrong the Sony 900 or 90 series are great TVs but the picture on this is so much better. Cant wait til Sony lowers the price on the A90k 83 inch, going for that next.

Some reviews were worried about brightness, i don't see any problem with that. It does a good job handling reflections, contrast is fantastic, colors are realistic and picture is sharp. Very happy with the purchase.

We bit the bullet an upgraded from our old 55" LED 1080p to this Sony 77" OLED 4K. So far we've only watched our satellite service and a few DVDs and Blu-ray DVDs on it, but what a difference! Of course the larger screen is a significant improvement, but it's the sharp picture, colors & contrast that are most amazing. Last night we watched one of our old favorite DVDs that has many dimly lit scenes and because of the OLED contrast we saw details in those scenes we never knew existed! The built in speakers are just fine for ordinary news and satellite programming, so we just use our surround sound system for movies and music videos. We'll soon be watching some 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray DVDs, and expect it will be an awesome experience on this great TV!

I have now owned 7 Sony TVs, between LEDs and now my second OLED and I have to say, Sony really has outdone themselves with this model. I had this installed yesterday from one of the better Geek Squad crews I have seen and it is tuned and just awesome. Not only does the picture quality stand out and the colors really pop, the sound coupled with Sonos surround is great. I have now watched a few movies on here it is just awesome. I have looked at LG and Samsung TVs but cannot bring myself to part with Sony, since I am a true Sony electronics fan, I own the PS5 and the game play with this TV is a beauty. The true blacks of this screen are just amazing and it is truly spectacular. Nice work Sony!

Excellent picture quality. I'm impressed with the quality of the picture. Very easy to set up. I mounted the TV on wall, and the TV is not too much heavy.

Perfect color, great size and easy to use! This Smart TV has it all and I am blown away by great 4k movies look from any viewing angle.

So far the picture quality is amazing on this TV, especially if you watch Blu Rays or have premium streaming video service. I like that it's a smart TV but not intrusive and let's you set it up how you like with any other third party hardware. It also auto detects new inputs and can switch for you. This will be personal preference, but the TV can almost be too bright sometimes. Especially in a dark room. I've played with the settings and it's easier on the eyes now and still looks sharp and contrasting.

Absolutely amazing OLED!! The picture quality on this oled is a sight to behold. 4K content is on another level on this tv. Amazing contrast with 0 nits absolute black rating delivers a superior picture with superb colors. 77" really is immersive, you only see the picture in front of you and nothing else! Works great as the center channel on my HT-A9 sound system, it really makes difference in clear dialogue. Great combination with PS5 VRR, no lag. It is a little brighter than the A80J with the new EVO panel from LG and the updated inbuilt tv speakers really sound great on its own! 4K ultra HD blu-rays take the cake as far as the full 4K experience with Dolby atmos and DTS X sound output to the HT-A9. This is a masterpiece tv by Sony

Flawless Beautiful Picture with the dynamics of a LED-backed screen and the REAL contrast of an OLED. Most OLEDs seem over-boosted and oversharpened in the contrast and color areas. The transition from grays to blacks is very nice and not abrupt like the LG's. The Sony has a real, almost 3-D-like picture. I love it. Great surround sound finishes the appeal.

Upgraded from Sony X900F which is an LCD screen only. The OLED really shows all definitions and much more bright and vibrant colors than the previous. I really enjoy watching 4k and Dolby movies, especially at night. I would recommend for those who have a bright room, close the blinds so you get full advantage of the picture quality. Cannot comment on audio since I'm connected to the Samsung soundbar.

- 4K, True HDR, OLED - perfect blacks and infinite contrast ratio - best visual experience in movie theather setting. - Audio quality is S-Tier! You do not need a soundbar for this TV. The bass is not dried out or has over-vibration when there is high bass content (ie: SFX, hip-hop) causing a horrible bass experience. The audio range on this TV is insane. It beats my 8 year old, $350 soundbar in audio quality. Samsung should take note! - Auto-compatability with PS5. - Google TV is severely underrated. It is much better than Amazon Fire TV. Google TV is smoother, still supports most Amazon Fire TV apps (basically any app on Amazon is most likely on Google TV as well) but with a better experience. Screencasting for Android users and Apple is great with Google TV! This was a pain for Samsung TVs who supported Apple TV but not Chromecast (very bad move Samsung). - SO much more functionality and control compared to other brands (especially Samsung)

I absolutely love my Sony tv. It’s absolutely the best tv I have ever purchased. I enjoy it so much that I went back to Best Buy and purchased a second Sony tv for my bedroom. Enjoying both daily.

Great replacement for my 5 yr old LG OLED which was getting spots and fading. Upgrade to 77” from 65 “. On the Sony colors are true and meet my expectations for brightness. I watch golf and find it easier to follow the ball especially on the greens. I haven’t rated the sound because I have a full Definitive theater setup and a Harmony remote.

March of 2023: I bought a Sony Mini-LED, 65” tv for a different room in my home, but I came across the QLED 77” TV at Best Buy, and the picture was beyond amazing. They had it sitting opposite a Samsung 8K tv, and the picture on the Sony was just as impressive as the 8K set. After a few weeks I decided to buy this set for my lounge, and I’ve now had it for 2 weeks. The picture quality is stunning. It’s not just the 4K- I’ve got several other 4K sets. I think the size also has to do with it- it just brings the scene to life. It’s just as impressive at home as it was at the store, and that’s a very nice surprise. I did notice that the picture quality of a DVD I own is better on my Panasonic, plasma tv that is NOT 4K than on the big Sony. But the plasma is much smaller and I think that’s the reason. But the 4K images on the Sony beat the Panasonic to hell. The Panasonic Plasma is a GREAT tv, tho, and although it’s old, it still has terrific picture quality. So I’m happy, and very glad I chose this Sony. I was amazed by the picture quality at the store, and I’m still amazed now that it sits in my lounge. I would say it’s the best, most detailed picture I’ve ever seen on a TV, and that would include 8K sets.

I love it, the TV is super clear, Google integration is fabulous. Colors are vibrant and setup is easy. Plus it syncs well with other Sony products such as PS5 and the controllers as well as their soundbar.

Gorgeous picture. Never realized what I was missing til I switched from LED to Oled. It comes very well packaged and protected. Easy setup. The box is even easy to deal with. True blacks, vibrant colors. Still tinkering with settings but very impressed so far. Incredible picture and very good sound.
