Picture quality is second-to-none for 77". The 90J is better but does not come in this size. If you have a PS5 then Sony Bravia XR is the TV for you. My TV is hooked up to an audio receiver and so I cannot comment on the sound quality. You will need to adjust the settings to calibrate the picture to your liking. Please note that each app will have its own picture setting and so you have go into each app to manually adjust the settings. Netflix has its own calibration setting that you could select and some have IMAX calibration settings. You may want to select different picture settings based on the streaming video or content. Each app and cable can have a different setting, its not universal across all apps. This makes the setup tedious and a little confusing but will be worth the time. Look up calibration settings on YouTube for guidance.

The apps run pretty well with good response. Easier to mount than the LG in the same line. The sound is ok but all of these flat screens need some type of external sound device if you like loud or fuller audio.

In a bright room still can see picture well. Sound like lost most lay screens now days is ok but not as full compared to a sound bar or stereo but still good enough. Fast refresh rate is great for gaming and Android OS gives this tv an advantage over a similar LG because of of the comparability. Love this tv would buy it again. Only gripe is the casing of the tv is all plastic. Would have preferred a bit nicer backing on a higher end tv like this but that’s it. Very large picture great for larger living rooms where you sit back further. Like being at the movies.

Only remote needed and easy adding apps. Even my wife can turn it on now, haha! It automatically turns on and off the receiver sound system hooked to it via HDMI.

Great but a little dim

The 77" model does have two issues to be addressed. The first is the bezel around the screen. I do think that is a little bit thick, definitely stands out compared to the LG C2 or Sony A80J. The second issue is brightness. I have to put this tv into "Vivid" as the picture setting otherwise the ambient room light drowns out the picture brightness. I have a window adjacent to the tv and I have to keep the blinds completely closed during the day if I want to watch tv especially anything with night scenes. The pros are as follows. Picture is great, streaming some OLED-specific content really shows off what the tv is capable of. Excellent sound quality. Didn't even realize my sound at wasn't connected until the second day of use. There is little glare even for the darker picture. Room light will make it hard to see details in darker scenes but the glare/reflections are minimal with all things considered. This tv is very rigid compared to some LG models so it doesn't feel like you're going to break it when wall mounting. Works great (as expected) with PS5. Excellent feet if you aren't wall mounting, love the design that Sony uses. It was a good purchase. Only other thing I was considering was the LG C2 but I've had some bad luck with LG recently so I stuck with Sony.

But is saved and saved for the LG C2 best for gaming and the Best Buy store had one in on open box needless to say I got it and when the employees was loading the tv the cart rolled and damaged my back fender. Then the employees stuff the 77’ LG C2 in the bed of the truck (No box). The TV got stuck so I went and got the manager and he said what can I do. We eventually got the tv out and it was damaged. He ordered the Sony 77’ and it works fine not what I sailed out for.

The motion handling and upscaling are 2nd to none as is customary with Sony processing. Most people worry about brightness when it comes to OLED TVs, I was as well, but that should no longer be a concern. This TV is plenty bright, if you have a big window directly behind you, like any TV, you'll see it in the reflection so do yourself a favor and invest in some time of covering. I can't recommend this TV enough which I'm happy to say after literal months of research to find the best fit for what I was looking for, get it.
