I wanted to get into street photography and am soo happy I found this little gem. Small enough to fit in my small purses and the photos come out crispy every time

This is the one camera to have when you’re on the go and what to get better images that what your smartphone may offer. Super compact and pocketable. Small enough that I had to add the available Sony grip accessory to to get a better grip on it (highly recommended). The one inch sensor produces terrific Images have good resolution and color depth. The zoom lens has a practical range. I owned 4 different lumix compact cameras before this and their focus wasn’t always reliable. The RX has a superior focus system and holds its own even in low light. The viewfinder is an amazing piece of engineering in a small footprint like this. Very handy in bright daylight when the lcd screen can get a little harder to view. Taking high quality, 4K videos is a breeze. It’s nice that you can use the zoom when you shoot video. Much harder to do that with a smart phone and no available with a GoPro. The automated settings are pretty reliable to get the shots I need but it also has a full range of control options when you need it. The LCD display articulates to take the occasional selfie of high or low shot. - which make the camera ever more flexible as you wander in search of those great pics. Low likely performance is perfectly acceptable - try get decent resolution in a reasonable lit room. I have never had to use the available flash (that’s also a little marvel of engineering). The camera has a solid feel and is well constructed. All metal and everything feels pretty robust. No protruding buttons so it’s doesn’t accidentally turn on etc. The batteries are small pretty so battery life is constrained. I have three spare units so I can get a full days worth of shooting video and about 100 shots. Most camera reviews reset the Sony RX100 vi as the best travel camera to own. I would definitely second that. If you want to travel light don’t trust those travel pictures to anything else.

Still one of the best compact cameras on the market, no other camera with that size can give you that optical range, battery could be better, but picture quality is fantastic and sometimes I want to use this camera instead of "big" Sony A7iv. I wish Sony introduced a new gen with most recent features...

I got an open box of this camera in "excellent" condition and it started glitching out after the first week. Luckily, after talking to an in-store associate, it was pretty easy to return it and buy a completely new one of the same kind and I absolutely love it! I'm still figuring out the settings but there's plenty of tutorials and love the quality so far!

This is the perfect camera for me. It fits in my pocket but is very powerful. The lens has good zoom and close up performance. I needed 4K video and the RX100 delivers. The 20 MP photos look great! I love the fast auto-focus and the ring around the lens which I use to adjust f-stop. I've only used the flash a few times but it is nice to have when you need it. I'm very happy with the adjustable LCD screen which, for me, is the biggest difference between shooting with this vs a phone. I don't use the viewfinder but might if it is too bright outside. My only complaint is that the movie button is too small. Sometimes it does not start recording and other times the camera is recording by accident. This can be solved by using the Sony - Vlogger Accessory Kit which has a nice large record button and controls the camera via Bluetooth. I also bought extra batteries because I use a lot of juice shooting videos.

So far so good with this camera for my current needs. If you're looking for a more portable option with plenty of features and control this camera is a great choice. I like the size a lot for traveling and getting pictures that are better than my smart phone can handle. I wish it had a grip already built in on it, but it can be bought and added on easily.

This camera is incredible for its size. Great sound on video from the recording mike. The zoom is terrific. Highly recommend it.

I switched to a compact camera because it was getting increasingly difficult to carry my SLR camera and lens and enjoy traveling. The pictures are amazingly sharp and I used the 200mm zoom quite a bit. The Sony was able to focus and take a clear picture even though our tour bus was in motion. When we visited a National Park, we were extremely lucky and saw a tiger appear briefly from the bushes, I was the only one on my vehicle that captured the whole body of the tiger. The other people with smart phones and slower cameras got only half the body or tail before the tiger disappeared in the bushes. For me, it was worth the cost of the Sony to capture a once in a lifetime picture.

I am totally amazed at this camera. The picture quality is excellent as is the quick and accurate focusing. The low light performance is excellent too. I was skeptical to buy this camera and considered the Sony RX100 VA as it has a faster lens but I wanted the longer zoom and touch focus. The V7 has performed wonderfully in all lighting conditions. The lens is still fast enough for me as I got great night shots, focused, clear, sharp. I did a few selfies and the photo was sharp as could be with excellent color. The features rival the Sony DSLR. Best Buy did price match so I saved a considerable amount of money which was one reason I bought the camera as I did not want to spend 1200 Dollars on a camera. After using this camera I can tell you it is worth the price. Best camera out there. Since I saved so much money on the camera I bought an extended warranty, fitted case and extra batteries. Great accessories if you buy the camera. I know that Best Buy will fix or replace the camera if anything goes wrong for 3 years. Extra batteries are a necessity. The case protects the camera. There are two different styles of cases but I am not sure if Best Buy carries both. You can get it at a well known photo retailer in New York City. However, Best Buy carries a very popular fitted case and excellent Sony case. I took photos in total darkness with the flash and the the photo quality was excellent. The camera focused accurate with correct exposure. Most camera would have a difficult time focusing in total darkness without a light assist. Not this camera. Read all about the features of this camera and you will see it is in a class of its own. I highly recommended this camera. You will not regret buying it.

The Sony Cyber-shot RX100 is an amazing little camera that doesn’t feel little at all once you start using it. The photo quality is sharp and clear, even in low light, and it’s a huge step up from a phone camera. What I love most is how easy it is to carry — it fits in your pocket, so you actually take it with you everywhere. The zoom is versatile, autofocus is fast, and video quality looks clean and professional. It’s great for travel, everyday photos, and even casual video content. The downsides are the high price and average battery life, but overall it’s a powerful, reliable camera in a very compact body. Definitely worth it if you want quality without the bulk.

Great camera-the AF is exceptional and the best part is that this powerhouse of a camera can fit in most pockets! Just wish that the body was made with some provisioning for a better grip. It could quite easily slip out if your hands if not held properly so you will need to invest in solutions for a better grip.

Camera work really nicely. You can focus the camera really fast. It can focus automatically or you can touch the LCD screen to focus on any point on the screen. It's really nice to be able to carry this camera in your pocket and not get in the way. This camera produces amazing pictures and videos. Very easy to use either automatically or with different camera settings. I added a Lensmate system to add a polarizing filter or a ND filter. It works really well with this camera and is not affected by the zoom lens. This is a great travel camera

There are times you just don't want to carry your "big camera" - in my case if I'm gonna be in a theme park all day or other such location or when it's important to be a little discrete. This little fella with its small size, 200 mm zoom and 2.8 lens is perfect! You can put it in your pocket or hang it off your belt in a small case. Pop in a couple of extra batteries and you're set for the day. It makes great pictures and video to document your activities. It is pricey but as I've found over the years you get what you pay for. This is my 2nd in the RX100 line and it is an excellent alternative to carrying your dslr gear.

I've had this camera for about a year and a half. I bought it to take to concerts where anything with a removable lens is not allowed. It is fast, sharp and just takea an amazing picture. Any time i dont have the ability or room to carry around my 7Aiii, i take this and could not be happier.

This is still the best pocketable point and shoot camera. My girlfriend loves taking pictures of her glam looks as the colors look vibrant and the details are sharp. Would highly recommend this camera for anyone who wants to take their social media content to the next level, or simply wants to get into photography.

This is a great little camera. Perfect for traveling, and very lightweight. The picture quality is great as well.
