This switch handles all my data connections with ease. It's been several weeks since I got it and I haven't had to reboot once since then. Some switches seem to need a reboot to clear the cache, but so far so good with this one. It works great and I am happy with it. All I had to do is plug it in and start plugging in the network cables to the computers and TV.

Very adaptable and plug-in ready to go. Helped boost network capacity with new protocols and easily on par with some of the competition. You can't go wrong with trying this one out and see if it works for your setup.

This switch is very simple to setup and install. I did not need tech support or assistance setting up my switch. The signals strength is very good just thevsame as when connected to my modem.

I bought 4 of these, and they appear to be working fine. I've read that unmanaged switches are not something that can be easily messed up functionality-wise. The build feels solid, and the price is right.

Let me tell you about the TP-Link 8-Port 10/100/1000 Mbps Unmanaged Switch — the unsung hero of my network closet, quietly directing internet traffic like a tiny, black robot traffic cop with impeccable fashion sense.
Before this switch arrived, I was living in a world of “Which device gets internet first?” madness. It was like hosting an unplanned party where every gadget showed up and yelled “ME FIRST!” My printer, TV, NAS drive, and smart fridge were having full-blown arguments about bandwidth priorities. The switch stepped in like a professional mediator and now everyone gets along — no hurt feelings, no passive-aggressive buffering.
Installation?
Plug-and-play. Literally plug it in and it works. If this thing needed any installer wizard or cosmic ritual, I’d have to schedule time off work. Thankfully that wasn’t required — just good old fashioned cord docking.
Performance?
Each of the 8 shiny ports runs at gigabit speed, which means my cat’s automatic feeder works seamlessly, my gaming rig never cries about lag anymore, and my NAS no longer thinks it’s starring in The Slow and the Curious. I swear I hear the switch humming happily like it’s proud of itself.
Pros:
✔️ No configuration needed — genius for people who think “advanced settings” are a type of espresso drink.
✔️ Fits nicely in a shelf or behind a desk so you don’t trip over cables as much.
✔️ Silent — I think it sleeps when no one’s looking.
Cons:
❌ Now I can connect all the things — including that weird old gadget I forgot I owned. Sorry, internet, but even the Nintendo Wii deserves a port.
If you want more Ethernet ports without selling your soul to the tech-gods, this TP-Link switch is the friend you didn’t know your Wi-Fi needed. Highly recommend!

This Ethernet switch is really great for the price! Having extra ports let's me not worry about managing what's connected and I can use my full Internet speeds compared to cheaper options.

I had the 5 port and realized I needed more ports so caught this on sale and now I have ports wit some to spare. Performs well especially wit the best Ethernet U-Green cables I got. Highly recommended
