Bought two routers, one as primary in the house and a second as a WAP in the garage via a gigabit fiber link. Use the website page to configure, not the phone app! Have separate 2G and 5G SSIDs on both routers so I can pick whatever works best around the property. 5G caps at 300 Mbps (ISP limit) and 150' range, 2G 150 Mbps and 250' range. 2G and 5G both run 100+ Mbps within 100' of either router. 3X 5G devices running speed test simultaneously = 250 Mbps total bandwidth

The TP-Link Archer AX20 AX1800 Dual-Band Wi-Fi 6 router has been a significant upgrade from my previous router (a Netgear). I'm consistently getting the speeds I pay for, and I no longer have to reboot the router frequently.
While the router's performance is excellent, I do have a couple of suggestions for improvement:
Usage Log: It would be great to see a detailed usage log in the app. This would help me monitor data consumption and identify any potential issues.
User-Friendly App: The app could be more user-friendly. A more intuitive interface would make it easier to manage network settings and access important information.

I bought this item knowing it probably wasn’t going to make a difference going into it but easily the best 100$ I’ve spent. It doubled my range and download in every room compared to the original spectrum router. I no longer need an WiFi extender.

The TP link router has been great so far. We live somewhere with shared internet and we just need our own router and for the price this one has been doing a great job. I haven’t had any slowdown or dropped internet.

Easy setup, good signal throughout my home, handles multiple devices well and the option to prioritize bandwidth to device X or device Y is a handy feature.

My cable company didn’t tell me about my small service fee for using their router - it adds up! I said one word “forgetaboutit!”, and got my own. Feeling better everyday.

I’ve been using the Archer AX20 for a few months now, and I’m genuinely impressed. The setup was super easy using the TP-Link Tether app, and the Wi-Fi 6 speeds have made a noticeable difference in streaming, video calls, and gaming around the house. I have multiple devices connected at once, and everything stays fast and stable with no lag or dropouts. The range easily covers my whole apartment, and I love the extra features like guest Wi-Fi, parental controls, and OneMesh compatibility. For the price, this router delivers way more than I expected. Highly recommend it if you're looking for a reliable, affordable upgrade!

This is my 2nd TP-Link router. I have been very satisfied with both TP-Link's support as well as the advancement in technology they do in order to stay competitive in terms of both price and quality when compared to Netgear or Linksys or Cisco. I will stick with TP link always.
Pros:
1. Support for Wifi 6 technology. The speed almost increased by 30% especially on computers that support wifi 6 technology.
2. Dual band is really wonderful. Especially when I am 2 rooms away from the router I use to connect my laptop with 5 GHz frequency to get a good speed as the other band is prone to more interferences from other devices in the home.
3. Initial setup is very easy.
4. 4 antennas with beamforming technology ensures very good signal despite interferences.
5. Parental controls are very easy to setup from the router page. It's possible to do tons of things like setting up timer to turn on or off the wifi, blacklisting a device are possible.
6. Powerful 1.5 GHz core processor.
Cons:
None

I picked up the TP-Link Archer AX20 AX1800 for my parents after they got a Spectrum 100Mbps plan, and this router has been working like a dream. Setup was quick and easy, and the Wi-Fi 6 performance is solid. Even though their plan is capped at 100Mbps, the router consistently delivers speeds slightly over that, which is a nice surprise.
The connection has been stable across multiple devices, with no noticeable drops or buffering issues. Coverage is also impressive—it easily reaches all corners of their home without needing any extenders. For a budget-friendly router, it punches well above its price range, making it a great choice for anyone looking for a reliable and future-proof upgrade. Highly recommended!

I recently upgraded to the TP-Link Archer AX20 AX1800 Dual-Band Wi-Fi 6 Router, and it has been an excellent addition to my home network! Right out of the box, setup was a breeze — the intuitive process and very clear instructions meant I had strong Wi-Fi up and running quickly.
It delivers fast, reliable connections across all my devices, and I’ve noticed much smoother streaming and video calls throughout the house. The router’s coverage is impressive for the price, keeping a strong signal in multiple rooms without dead spots.

Short review - This is a "mid range" wifi 6 (ax) router that will work and exceed most people's expectations for its price.
Details -
This is a wifi 6 router, which means it supports the new wifi convention ax, the previous ones were known as ac, n, g which have now been renames as wifi 5, 4, 3. This means that newer devices that are wifi 6 compatible will really benefit from the new tech which will clear up any congestion on your home network. But if you are using older devices that only have an ac wifi card in your device, do not worry, ALL wifi 6 routers are rated for backwards compatibility.
With Wifi 6 , it also comes with MU-MIMO technology, which in laymans terms means you will be getting much better stable connections between all your devices.
The 1800 in the ax1800 stands for up to 574mbps on 2.4ghz channel and 1201 mbps on 5 ghz channel. Frankly I am not sure what the difference between the Archer AX20 vs AX21, since both are listed as Archer AX1800. This might just be something to differentiate between retailers. As far as I can tell on their website the specs are the same across the board.
Ethernet ports are rated for gigabit, so thats going to be plenty for most of residential users. The USB port is unfortunately only 2.0, but can still hook up your hdd for a network storage solution.
I have this placed in a central location in the house, coming from from a dual band ac600 (300/300) router, I am getting amazing speeds, but importently I am getting 5-4 bars in all 7 rooms in the house, 4 on the same level as the router, with 2-3 walls in between, and the 3 rooms in the basement. I am slowly getting more wifi 6 devices, such as my smartphones, laptop (you can easily upgrade wifi cards in your laptops), ps5 and I am getting amazing wifi speeds. I pay for the 1000 mbps internet service, and at best I was getting around 450 on the 5ghz channel about 10 feet away, with one wall. Now on the TP Link AX20, I am now getting 800-900 on the 5hz channel about 10 feet away with one wall.

This router came highly rated for its pricepoint, and I have to say that it served its purpose to absolute perfection! No complaints I could possibly muster, especially considering the budget and pricepoint I spent on this device. With an easy Plug-&-Play setup to my ISP provided modem, this router was able to deliver strong bandwidth to all devices in my home, which extends throughout my 1500sqft apartment with ease. This router will provide the adequate power necessary for most individuals seeking an easy solution to achieve a solid home network!! (Coming from someone who works from home and plays A LOT of games)
