Fast setup right out of the box. As simple as changing a lightbulb and downloading a free app. *note if you purchased more than one it's best to set them up one at time. I picked up four of them for my living room all on the same switch, And had a little issue connecting to one of the four. It was fixed by resetting the bulb it self. With the lights on unscrewing the one with the issue in till it lost power and screwing it back in. Doing this 5 times slowly resets the light and I was able to connect. The Good. Fast setup. Free app. Great color selections. The bad. When on the brightest setting and the color white the lights flicker very bad. All 4 of mine. A little pricey. One of mine makes a bad buzzing sound when on the brightest setting of any color. But BestBuy has a great return policy, So i will exchange that one soon. The app needs some work. (They are working on an update)

The ilumi bulbs are the best out there. They are the only high end bulb that can produce an awesome green (hue and lifx greens are more yellow than green). The downfall is the ilumi app stinks right now (new app version issupposedly coming out in Apr 2016). So if you are willing to wait for the app to catch up to the awesome bulb quality these are worth the price.

The pros: The bulbs are plenty bright. The Bluetooth mesh is nice. No need to attache to a Wifi network. Solid build quality. Ap is pretty easy to use. The improvements: Ap stability needs to be improve. And more "Fun" modes like color fade programs and music control - The ap has a music control but it requires that you use the ap player which limits you to local music content. They need to upgrade this to use the microphone so that any music being played in the house can control the bulbs. After all, what's the point in having these really cool light bulbs in your house if you aren't going to use them for parties? I can't recommend until they improve the music control and color fades. This is simple ap stuff. They should just do it.

I like that its "plug-and-play" and the app is free. No need for any starter kit and it easily connects to your regular bulb socket. Colors are vivid and app is easy to use. Recommended it to a few of my friends already!

Hands down the coolest led bulb you can get. With pre set modes for regular lighting like sunrise or sunset to party mode or aurora. Play to the beats of your music millions of color choices. Real black light effects ect.. only problem is it discinnects all the time after you first turn on the app. Next it has problems setting schedules. Still unable to connect to Alexa which was a big upset. But this light still outweighs all the hopefully soon to be fixed app errors. Also has two separate apps. Overall effect 5.5 power 5.5 choices 5.5 app functionality 3.5 for connect issues. Tried on 3 different phones so I know it's not just me. Def a 4.6 out of 5 rating.

Love the bulbs - they have the best green out there. The app is terrible, as if they rushed to get the bulbs on the market but forgot about the app to run it. Hopefully ilumi will update their app soon.

Don't get me wrong, the bulbs are amazing. The app however is a big disappointment. I'd wait until April to buy these when the updated app comes out

Works great and has a wide variety of color options. Just wished the android app came with a widget for quicker access to turning on and off the light.

The real value in this light is that it doesn't use a central hub but is controlled only by your phone and light switch which is what I was looking for. Very bright and colorful and the app is easy to use and has some cool features itself. It is pricey but the only cheaper non hub light I've seen isn't worth the time so if you don't want to use a hub, Ilumi is a good choice

It's an ok smart bulb . The bulb itself is great as far as colors go , but the interface needs a lot of work . You can only music sync the lights to music on your phone , and that includes when you yiu are using Spotify . So , you can only sync the lights to Spotify music that you have downloaded to your ..... aka, no streaming . That's a major downfall .

I've always been a fan of mood light, dim able light, colored light. Ilumi wraps it all into one and while these can be just plain old white lights for default on/off switching, you soon be having fun adjusting to environment. You'll need a smartphone to dim and change colors but for many, how far away is that device for any given time? For plain old incandescent replacement, these are not for you.

I feel like if you want several Light bulb you should buy the Philip Hue, the app ilumi is not the best but is not bad either also you can use IFTTT to control it but IFTTT already has a lot of recipes for Philip Hue and not for ILumi

The lights are bright but only work with Google play music if you want to make the lights change during music. I hope ilumi will update on this for other customers who have such as rhapsody, spotify and so on.

Software becomes unresponsive too often. Not bad for up light use. Color quality is excellent.

I bought this for living room. Really like it. All the colors are amazing. Like 10 dif. Shades of white, candelight,sunlight,morning,evening,etc...expensive but it says it last 20 years. The app is def. Buggy. Keep in mind it's controlled by Bluetooth, not wifi. Would be 4-5 stars if they fixed the app.

Very bright and multicolored. The downside is that uses your phone’s Bluetooth and drains your battery.

Bright light, simple to use, and follows the app faithfully.

Very cool product however when the light initially turns on, it takes a few minutes to adjust to the set default color. I examined it next to my other normal flood lights to match the color and they look similar, just takes a few minutes to get to your default color. It also has a small lag time once you turn on your light switch.

Fun changing up the colors. Novelty item. I didn't know what to expect but works great.

The Ilumi bulbs are awesome. Real easy to setup and the range of colors available are amazing. The app for your smart phone makes setup really easy and fast. You can choose different themes or create new ones yourself. The price is better than the other brands.
