This monitor is the best size for a small desk in my office Great screen too

Basic monitor (with speakers) for basic need. Works great!

The stand would not stay snapped together. I ended up having to use tape to hold it together. The monitor works well so far.

Decent resolution. Two issues: 1. Set up is nonsensical. No instructions in box and not much on the website. Set-up (putting parts together, drivers) relied on tiny photo and not much information. I then waited 25 minutes on the phone with ViewSonic and they said....never mind; drivers do not need to be downloaded, it is plug and play. This is despite the fact that a single piece of paper in the box said to "insert the CD" for drivers. No CD, I might add. Also, no explanation of what the underneath controls do. 2, The monitor is not secure in the stand and seems very much tipped forward. I am propping the front up with cardboard making it even more tippy. I'll put up with this, but I wish I had chosen something else.

So far its working just fine. Don't forget to put that wierd arrow looking thing into the hole on the back of the stand. This unit DOES tilt...its just really stiff. The Best Buy description is WRONG -- this does NOT have and HDMI out port on it. It's got and HDMI and VGA in only, as well as well as mini pin headphone and speaker jacks. For the money I feel like this monitor is right where it should be. Certainly not very fancy, but it doubles my workspace and if it gets wrecked for any reason I'm not out a small fortune.

This monitor is horrible, no matter what I did the screen always displayed a faded light picture. Don't purchase.
