This pen did not work out of the box in Fusion 360 as claimed. I had to assign keys to the tumble button to get it to work. The extra button instead of the archaic notion of an eraser is good. I however have much greater expectations of Wacom and I am disappointed in their efforts regarding not only innovation but also fostering much stronger partnerships that are more passionate then a quick marketing stunt. Fusion 360 has videos touting the usefulness and brilliance of a Pen, Touchscreen and Express Key though the implementation has shown that these are not passionate users. The Pen is simply O.K. and coupled with a crippled Express Key with a Warp Speed only dial and a touch screen that does not work consistently in Fusion 360; we are left wondering how hard someone is laughing or crying in their corporate office as they wrap their carpal tunnel back over their mouse. Prepare to be disenchanted. By now Wacom should have a clickable scroll wheel with right and left detents on an updated rotational pen; they do not because they drop the ball with software partnerships and implementation often leaving users with the equivalent of a Universal Studios Harry Potter magic wand. It is only gonna work where they put in the work and they like their 6D Art Pen are not putting in the work!

Using the Wacom 3d Stylus has made creating content for ZBrush and Blender sooo much easier and faster versus using a mouse. I have more control over my selections and I can get even the tiniest detail with little effort.

The Wacom pen works great, so easy to handle. Helps relieve my hand stress.

Is it necessary? Probably not but the extra buttons on the pen helps. If you have the extra cash to waste then it’s great but it isn’t a game changer.
