Good Basic Drive

The product description says that it is "Compatible with Apple® Time Machine". I believe it came formatted as exFAT, so it could be read/written to by both Macs and PCs. When I went to select it as my Time Machine drive, El Capitan gave me a message that it needed to be formatted as an OS X Extended Volume. Don't know if this is required by El Capitan or all versions of OS X. Reformatted the drive and it now works just fine for Time Machine.
