Great unit; Poor instructions

Requirement to reformat to allow for a System B/U not stated. Done easily, but had to go to customer service to get that info. Would recommend to a friend but would tell them that first.

WD Book - sounded great on review - not working

Basic Storage

It's basic and straight forward. This HDD would perfect for most people. my unit was a faulty one, luckily I had geek squad protection for it.

External Drive Problem

Not so fast!

Good storage, but apps are not great

I've been waiting on tech support to try to resolve, but at this point I'm going to use a third-party backup software. If you're using the drive for storage, it is fast. But I would not count on the included software if you need it for a reliable backup system.

Does not Work for Tivo

Never did get it to work

Never could get it to do what it said it would do. Kept it too long and couldn't return it. Became a very expensive paperweight.
