Drive is bulky and pricey as compared to Seagate drive

I bought this to replace an older model from a different maker, I hooked it up and had to call tech help to get it to work. Turned off the computer and it wouldn’t boot up with the Mybook hooked up. Then it wouldn’t back up until prompted. I will probably return it.

Good hard drive. No problems as of yet. Does what I need it to do.

Has to be plugged in to work and it's also kinda of bulky

Nice external drive, just wish it was USB powered.

I made this purchase and I cannot return this item because of time however it's useless for what I wanted to use it for. I purchase it on June 16, 2020. I am hurt and upset. $80-$90 dollars go down the drain.

Had some problems with uploading. But it works fine .

I had nothing but trouble with the My Book. After contacting WD and trying the things they suggested, it still wouldn't work. I had paid for Geek Squad protection but was informed that the Geek Squad would have to come to my house (at my expense) to test it. I ended up returning it (Best Buy gave me a full refund) and I bought a different brand of external hard drive.

The wd was ok but it did not work with the dish hopper to transfer recorded shows that the geek squad said it would. Tha'ts why I bought it. I ask them about a Buffalo link station and was told it would work but it did not. So if your geek bunch does not know any more than I do I will not buy anything from you anymore.

Does not physically show it is in-service or even connected

3 months after it stop working, have no idea why and my pics are lost

Did the initial backup. The next day, the automatic backup occurred. for the next week, the daily backup never initiated again....and no, the computer nor the external hard drive were asleep. It wouldn't backup when I tried to make it "backup now". It is now sitting in a pile on my desk that I refer to as more useless junk. Go with the Cisco product, it actually functions.

This hard drive was not compatible with my equipment, so I returned it.

Bought one and worked great. Second one died fast.

did not like this product and returned it. do not think you should have to subscribe to an internet service to use a simple storage device and I refuse to do that.

Prevented my PC from booting. Once removed there was no problem.

The salesman guarantees this hard drive would work for me. He was WRONG!

This drive is unreliable and I would no recommend it to anyone!!!!!

Recently purchased this drive to expand the memory on my PS4 Pro. Was plug and play and very easy to set up. A great cost effective way to expand your console memory.

Purchased this unit to add storage to my Wii U. Works as expected and no delay during game play. Primarily purchased for son to use for Lego Dimensions but loaded other games as well to the driver. Would highly recommend WD brand and this drive for this reason.
