I bought this to expand the amount of storage for my Xbox one. It worked right out of the box. I only had to follow the prompts for formatting on the Xbox, and I was all set with an expanded 4 TB in about ten minutes or so. Moved all of my games over to it and notice an appreciable reduction in load times thanks to it being a USB 3.0 drive as opposed to the USB 2.0 internal drive of the Xbox. I would definitely recommend this to other Xbox or PS4 owners looking for additional space.

Quality for a low price! I bought my HD to back up my music projects and sample packs for my production. 4 tb was more than enough! To top that it’s still running and so much more dependable than my old 2tb because of the speed. All of my projects are now being saved to this thing. Definitely recommend!

This drive is easy to set up and use. It is fast and file backups complete very quickly. It's also very quiet.

It’s got lots of storage, works with TimeMachine backups, and has been working great for a long time now.

Purchased this drive for my Xbox x and it has been flawless. Xbox will ask you to format the drive and then if you would like to make it the primary drive. Doing so will make all games go to the external saving space on your console drive. Any USB 3 Drive will work fine, but have great experiences with Western Digital.

Huge 4 TB drive at a tiny price. Plug and play, no need to use WD software if not using as a backup.

I purchased this to transfer word documents to as a back up and it works wonderfully... I like knowing if my computer dies, which I have had happen, I will not loose my documents. I have another for Photo's and backups. I am confident that I will be safe in the event my computer fails me.

I bought this drive because Best Buy doesn't stock the 4TB WD easystore version in the stores and I needed it that day. I use it for external storage for a DISH Hopper 3 receiver. The largest external USB drive that you can use with the Hopper 3 is 7TB and the Hopper 3 has only one USB 3.0 port. The other two are USB 2.0.

It was necessary for me to buy one of these as my old drive failed. This drive worked so easy. I plug it and told my computer to backup to this drive. About one hour later I checked and it had backed u[ all important information on my computer. I leave it connected to the computer and do automatic backups frequently. I highly recommend this drive for external backjp and it is fast!

After dark forces destroyed my last WD drive - mainly my posting a fun picture of Dave Grohl as the devil showing I had 6.66% of my XBox external HDD free, I knew I had to do something to circumvent the evil powers trying to keep me from gaming and got this drive as a replacement. Pretty easy to use and get up and running on PC, XBox or PlayStation. You can’t go wrong.

It is handling all of my needs. Large space and runs quiet.

Over several years, I have purchased 10 My Book 4TB External Hard Drives. They have all worked flawlessly. I did have one that went bad but most likely, it was my fault. I had dropped it two times and in both instances, it hit the floor hard. Since all the other hard drives work fine, I decided it give it a 5 star rating.

This is a great external hard drive for backing up your documents and photos. It has ample space and is reliable.

This is my second WD external hard drive. I've used one like it to back up computer files for several years with no issues, so when I decided to get an over-the-air recorder which required an external hard drive, I bought this one. It is quick and I've had no negative issues with it, just like the other one.
