This hard drive was plug and play on my Windows 10 laptop. The software that came with it was a bit clunky to understand but I got used to it. You can also use the Windows 10 auto backup software.

I needed a larger backup drive and wanted something reasonable in price. This does both. The instructions were lacking, but I was able to set it up in spite of the poor instructions. Overall, I’m satisfied with this drive.

Very easy to use. I purchased this to get all the pictures off of my phone and my laptop. This was super easy to load all the pictures onto it and now I have lots of room on my devices.

Bought this cause i was told that this was the best external hard drive for the xbox one and I've got to say im really impressed. Plays games off of it with incredible speed and tons of storage. Love this HardDrive!!! Gave it a 4 star cause it's a big bulky for my taste.

I use this hard drive for my xbox one and it works great everytime. It is easy to set up and it hasn't had any problems since I bought this a year and a half ago.

Got on sale for 100$ and got several others to get it as well. WD is still the leader when it comes to storage drives and a 4t modular solution works wonders in today's file heavy environments.

I bought this drive to backup my wife's iPhone. She had used all of the iPhone storage and needed to copy the pictures and videos before deleting them. The WD My Book was easy to setup and transfer the data.

Drive works great. Plug and play. I didn't use any of the included software I just needed to move some data.

Worked great with my studio Mac. Make sure you remember the password to unlock it.

With the new Sony software update additional storage can be added to your PS4. Easy setup. You may want to purchase a usb hub for additional connections.

I just got this My Book to replace one I have had at least 10 years that wasn't worn out just noisy. The MyBook 4TB was very easy to install and is working great.

Great value. I needed it for video work. Connected to my Macbook with no problems. I work with Final Cut for video projects. The drive is fast. I would recommend it and buy another when I run out of space.

This is an excellent product at great price. This external HDD is fast and very useful.

I can find no fault with this hard drive. It does what it says it should, and 3.0 USB port Is at least 5x faster then the 2.0 I was using.

Partitioned this drive to backup my 2TB data drive and 256GB SSD on my Dell laptop. One partition I image about 4 times a year, the other uses File History regular backup. Works great!

You get a lot of space for a little money. Just don't think of this as archival.

So far drive is working fine (only 21 days so far), replaced a seagate that was about 4 years old that was on 24/7 as my primary backup drive.

I got this as a backup-backup for my home computers. It seems to work pretty well and is fast enough over USB 3. Two small complaints though: 1. The USB 3 cable provided is pretty short. Thankfully I had a much longer one already so I could put the My Book on a shelf a couple feet away from the computer instead of having to put it /right next/ to the computer. 2. There are no status lights at all on it so you can't tell if it has power or the disk is being accessed. Small gripe, would be nice to have. I've only had it a couple months so I can't speak for long term reliability, but the price was decent (on sale) and it gives me one more level of backup redundancy to help protect my files. Also, I haven't used the native WD utilities so I can't speak for their usability.

I replaced my old WD, works great with my iMac. You don't even know it's running.
