Used as network drive

Only had an issue with one of the 2 TB drives (my fault). I like these drives for backup and networking. I now have 2 of these 4TB drives. Both are partitioned in half. One partition contains all my CD's ripped to wav and the other contains my Go Pro vids and camera pics. One drive is the main and the other is backup. I'm waiting for the 6TB to come down in price, I'm running out of space (lol).

Perfect for what I needed it for

Now my air mac has room again and is working great! If I decide I need something on their I must open it up and move it back to my computer. I keep my relatives who have passed on my commuter but store them in the external drive too. That way if something happens I will always have them.

Instead they offer this 'Mac-compatible' hard drive. I was worried about my ability to format it for Mac use, but the WD support information that detailed how to do it made it surprisingly easy. I've had no trouble using it on my Mac.
