Customers are saying
Customers consistently note the excellent convection cooking and ease of use of this over-the-range microwave. Many appreciate its quiet operation, attractive design, and the helpful sensor cooking feature. However, some users mention concerns about the sturdiness of the door and find the control panel somewhat challenging to navigate. The microwave's weight and the keypad's functionality are also mentioned as areas needing improvement.

Not made like they used to.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So disappointed! Within the first year the controls stopped working after I used the convection feature the first and only time. That was repaired under warranty. 2 months ago, it just quit microwaving. I was warned that microwaves are not made the way they used to be. My previous one lasted 19 years. This one didn't even make it to 4. Seriously!!! P.S. the rack makes it a roomy food warmer.

Not as good as the 2008 microwave it replaced
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Long list of shortcomings - not true convection roast, uses microwave to supplement the convection, so you are limited in backware options to microwave-compatible. (Convection bake gets around that if you raise the cooking temp.) No convection keep-warm hold options, only 10% microwave power that overheats food. Convection cooking rack set too high in oven for best heat distribution, and the little circular rack that goes on the turntable for convection cooking doesn't hold much. Range-top light very dim even on bright, at only 25 watts. Controls are in bottom of door instead of one one side, where they are apparently very sensitive to overheating. Exhaust fan comes during at ordinary cooking at jet-engine high and stays on. And, it's huge. One plus, the microwave function is very quiet. It might get replace way before its time.Anotherher plus, it clears smoke out in a hurry if you don't mind the jet-engine sound.

Fantastic microwave bad smart capabilities
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Really really good microwave but EXTREMELY bad smart capabilities. App is really awful and whirlpool support is extremely NOT knowledgeable. For the big price I expected more. No integration with smartthings and the likes.

Great until it’s not!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This microwave is great until it’s suddenly not. We had ours for 3 years and suddenly the latching mechanism failed and it dropped little plastic pieces on to our range. After that failed, the keypad errored and the entire microwave was unusable. Very disappointing!

Do not buy! Way too complicated!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Least ergonomic microwave ever. Black disappearing buttons against a black background. No instructions and this thing is so hard to use you need a day long class. The "scan to cook" feature has worked on 1 out of 10 frozen foods. Really? No Marie Callendars Pot Pie? I finally discovered convection roast because bake takes FOREVER. No owner's manual and only two pages of suggestions online. If the main purpose of a microwave is to reheat this one makes that very difficult.I put in time, hit start, and it tells me to open and close the door. It has never made a decent baked potato on it's auto sending setting. BTW even connecting to wi-fi fails repeatedly and requires a call to support to tell you the secet jkey dcombo to use WPS. The microwave tells you your food is ready via text after you have eaten it and sat down to relax! Really a useless feature. But I can scare people by turning the fan and hood light on via Alexa.

Poor Quality, Would not Recommend
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not happy with the quality of this microwave. Purchased in July, by October the turntable stopped turning. Took two weeks to get a tech out to look at it, within five minutes of his visit he said the thing that turned the turntable was no longer functioning but we were “lucky” because the part was in stock. The part being in stock meant another 2.5 weeks before they could come out to install it. Meanwhile without the turntable everything is heating up unevenly. Some things are being burnt on one side while the over side stays froze. Unacceptable for less than six months of ownership.

Disappointing, not worth the money
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very disappointed. First, it seems a lot less powerful than my previous 15 year old Microwave. Then the auto cook items are very limited, it does not even have a choice to defrost bread or muffins. All these functions are also difficult to access, you have to go through arrows and select. Finally the convection part which is the reason why i bought this model is not great. Able to cook only very small portions and it is not performing well. All together, all i get in this microwave is the same thing than a basic model for half the price.

Functionally good, doesn't hold up over time
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Features-wise it's a good microwave, lot of bells and whistles. How it holds up over-the-oven probably depends on how much heat it gets from below since the stainless steel is just a light covering over plastic, and over time i noticed the plastic part of the door starts to crack barely one-year in. Other reviews cite this as well, like I shouldn't have to get a minor cut when all I want to do is heat up is something.
