I bought this Samsung laptop to replace an older Sony Vaio that was pretty much dead. The Samsung was reviewed very highly on Amazon, Best Buy, and most computer websites, so I found one that was refurbished by Geek Squad (total price for the refurbished model was $249 USD for a $499 computer), and I purchased it sight-unseen. The computer arrived three days later. I set it up, turned it on, and everything worked completely as advertised. It booted up quickly, runs fast and smoothly, the Windows 8 operating system is easy to navigate once it's figured out (the Sony that replaced it was Windows 7). The only issue that I have with this computer is very minor, and it's that the touchpad is a little too large and a little too sensitive. When I try to type on the keyboard, some of the time my hand or wrist will come into contact with the pad and the cursor will move to wherever I last clicked the mouse pad buttons. Anyway, this has been a great computer for the money, and I definitely will be looking at Samsung computers in the future.

Bought a refurbished laptop and not that bad for the price. Great for school or for anyone on a budget. Mouse is very sensitive when typing, so I bought a usb keyboard to solve the problem.

I only use this laptop occasionally, but I love how it's large and everything that I needed was there. I'm having a little difficulty learning new Windows8, but then, I am an old dog lol

This is my first laptop, wasn't sure what to expect buying a refurbished one, but I am very happy with my purchase. Nice shape and clean looks like it was brand new, no troubles with it. Getting used to windows 8. I would diffently recommend this!

QuestionCursor jumps around when typingI have this laptop and my only complaint is when I type, even this sentence, at some point my cursor moves and suddenly I am typing in the middle of a sentence I already finished. Is there a fix in a setting for this??

- Answer What's likely happening is that your wrist is brushing up against the touchpad, which may be quickly highlighting text, and replacing it with what you're typing at the moment. One recommendation might be to use a USB mouse, and change your mouse settings to "disable the touchpad when the USB mouse is attached". This way, whenever you're typing and have your mouse plugged in, you're not brushing against the touchpad. The Geek Squad can also help you find this setting, if you're interested in taking your computer in - that way you have a solution for this issue.
